Got spare money?

What do you mean by Crispie's latest work? I love his UI! Just hoping someone is going to do a framework now...

Maybe we could use normal menu's and only right-click-pop-ups for the units/cities. You right click a unit and have the option of ordering it to move to.../fortress/etc. This would increase the use of the mouse in stead of the keybord (which some of us prefer).

Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

Well, I finally uploaded the new UI0.5+ to the site. Thanks to chrsipie, who corrected a win2000 problem just before the final upload. So spread the word: GGS is coming!

Chrispie also told me he's working on a chat prgram (currently rewriting it for win32) and is planning to do the framework after that. He also plans to work on ggs about all day, so we'll see what he'll come up tomorrow.

Also, take a look at the new site! I made a search engine, a member login/logout and working on the upload thingy. If you want member login, mail me for instuctions..

The demo looks really great. But what it's supposed to do? All that I can do is to close the setup window and hide the menu elements. When I click on the windows on right, the program terminates, and in the log there is no shutdown activities reported; the last things is "starting the main loop". So, is it intentional? Should the menus work, on my machine they don't? But nevertheless, it's great. I'm feeling sad that I have so little time myself.

Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

I really like Elmo's graphics , but the rest of the demo seemed kind of a step backwards from some of the earlier UI stuff... I was under the impression that there are all sorts of controls (text boxes, buttons, etc.) ready, which might as well have been demonstrated. Even though I haven't followed the programming stuff lately, at least two months ago chrispie had already finished many cool things which I would have liked to have seen here also... or am I mistaken?

Suffering from ads?

Well, we wanted to show what we are capable of now, but it is of no use to show control with no function. I think we can add them in the next demo, were we hopefully can also include more usefull things like a working map. For now, we do have all this control finished, but nothing to show with them...

Let's make those! Starting by the framework and chat (crispie is working on that) and the map (amjayee???).

Enter the AD-FREE zone

The main reason I held back on the rest of the UI stuff is that I don't think much of it is all that perfected - I'm not that happy with the likes of the scroll bar and the rest, they are still a bit sluggish to work.

As a first UI example, I think this is just fine - I'll add more functionality when we release the next one, soon I hope.

On another note, I have a simple chat system done that is built around the MultiplayerManager, now I have the basics of it I'm going to tidy it up and maybe look at implementing the turn order system as part of the chat, so orders appear on the text box for example.
