My ally england is not replyying much to my mails. He claims to be a rooky and would go along with my proposal, just this.

here´s his last letter. Those of you who speak english as a native language, does this sound genuine?


Hello Sascha,
The reason I do not e-mail you straight back, is because after reading your e-mails I can't think of a thing to say. You seem to cover every angle, right down to what Turkey might do.
I am afraid I have shamelessly grabbed hold of your coat-tails, and I am holding on till you brush me off. I do wish I could make some constructive suggestions, and at least look as if I am an active member of our alliance.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with our partnership from my side.
I have e-mailed France, telling him that my alliance with you is not a concrete one, and that I am still open to any proposals he might have - he has not replied to this e-mail yet. I will e-mail Russia, along similar lines to those you propose. I have received an e-mail from Italy, warning me not to put all my eggs in the one basket (Germany), and that he was considering moving France's way. I replied, saying, such a move would ensure Turkey an easy escape from his box, and make him a likely target for Turkish expansion. (I have just reread that, and it almost looks like I know what I am talking about.)
I will go along with your proposed moves, and hope that you have out-manoeuvred France once again.

I can't determine anything from the translation that would indicate trickery, but it does seems to indicate a certain fear or paranoia. I would be distrustful of anyone clamining to be a rookie. First of all you wouldn't need him to tell you if he was. However, he could be sincere when he mentions that you have it all covered. Just make sure he feels like he's contributing to the process, and try to garner move commitments from him, just to keep him honest.
