-Monk’s down to 2 SCs and seems to be being badly mauled by an Italian/Russian

Game 2004: Lordstone1’s Game (Apolyton I England)
-LordStone1’s down to 3 SCs. Germany has swept through northern France, Russia has
taken Norway, and Italy has taken Iberia while France is reduced to Iberia. England’s
position could still be salvaged if Germany and Russia go to war before Germany decides

Game 2057: Victor Galis’ Game (Apolyton I France)
-Victor G.’s leading the pack so far with 7 SCs (whooo hooo!) But with annoyed Brits in
the north, pesky Italians in the south, and lots of Germans in the east his position seems a
bit precarious. With some good diplomacy this game could be an Apolytonic victory.

England) (aka the game that had better end in a E/G two-way )
Hmmm don’t see a map...
With Italy stabbing away at France, France’s days seem numbered. But in the east the
Russian bear is gathering strength as Turkey begins to crumble. Its not over yet! An
alliance with Austria against Russia (after Turkey dies) seems in order. (Spring 1902)

Game 2028: RUFFHAUS’ Game (Apolyton I Italy)
Well our friend RUFF seems to actually have been able to pull of a very fine Key
Lepanto! Turkey seems to be going down hard, but the powerful Russia seems to be
giving the alliance some problems. But at least it seems that Italy has some pretty decent
long-term prospects, especially since that E/G alliance up north will hopefully get around

Well Snowie’s at five centers, but there seems to be a very powerful A/T alliance that is
causing a lot of pain for SnowFire and Italy. Also England seems to be getting

Game 2065: berzerker’s Game (Apolyton I Turkey)
At 4 SCs, but with an excellent shot at 6 by year’s end. Austria got weakened early on
and the Western Triple will keep Italy and France busy. berzerker’s well on the way to

Game 2012: Midshipman’s Game (Apolyton II Austria)
Due to a Russian misorder (or was is a misorder? Russia could be being a slimy pick, but
he’s in such a horrible position to stab Austria that I don’t think that’s all that likely)
Midshipman fails to pick up Bul. Still with Turkey obviously not being Russia’s favorite
friend and Italy obviously busy in the north Midshipman’s doing fine. Keep up the good
work and make sure that Russia actually give you the right support this time . After you
get Bul a fleet build would probably be in order.... Oh and make friends with England, se
seems to be getting quite powerful (Spring 1902)

Stefu seems to be fending off an E/G and doing a pretty good job of it. But now there’s
an Austrian A Pie and Austria’s a German ally... Looks like things are going to get a

Game 2033: Gerwald’s Game (Apolyton II Italy) AKA the game that’s fvcked up beyond
all recognition.
Due to the GM being a complete dork (in my opinion) who didn’t read (or was unable to
understand) the tournament rules about 1901 NMRing the game’s more screwed up than
Florida election results. There’s probably going to be a re-vote, er, reorders...

The GM doesn’t post results on the board. Mao says: “i'm surviving”

Notes about my game: I thought Germany was my buddy, at least until now. I'm trying to remind him that if England and he attack me, then he's next logical target for England. I don't think Austria is very dangerous, since I presume his move to Piedmont was in order to attack Italy, and in any case Austria going on madcap chase from Vienna to Marseilles sounds little bit too goofy to be true.

Map for WM2009

This is mine and Defiant's game. After a good start, the AIR alliance holds the key, and France is dying, but also being a pain at the same time. An interesting trivia note: there were no builds whatsoever for Winter 1902. Has anyone ever seen that before?

If I can make it through this turn, Iain and I should be able to grab some more ground, however the A-R-I alliance is extremely strong right now. But if I can get a build back into Mun, it would mean stalemating them and now it is time to talk to Russia on a stab of Austria.

Ok, Germany and Russia screwed up badly when they tried to take the North Sea, resulting in me taking back Norway, but I'm going to lose it again soon enough. Diplomacy is in order with Germany to break the support for the reconquest of Norway. Will be posting a new topic on this subject. h

Er.. you have two SCs too many attributed to me, alas. If England and I cooperate I shall have six and be fighting IG. Of that six, Liverpool would become inteneble in an alliance, though IG might get an Austrian dagger in the back if I am lucky.
