Analysis: I made a desperate move for Norway, and it worked. Mostly because Germany and Russia screwed up on their orders. But I'll lose it no matter where Russia retreats its fleet, since it can take it back. The only shot I have is for Germany to stab Russia by breaking support in Sweden from Denmark. This is press I got from G immediately following the release of the moves. I laughed when I read this - it sounds so pathetic!

I'm amazed that worked ! Russia was supposed to support me into NTH and
instead he made a real bad move - I really didn't expect you to gain a
unit and NTH to become empty. A strange game.

It looks like you may be about to make a comeback. Since I haven't
actually done you any damage at all or even made any positive attacking
move against you (other than HOL-NTH which doesn't really count) I
wonder what your current thinking about Germany is ?

I still don't trust that bastard, but now I def. need him if I'm to keep Norway. I'm going to play on the fact that Russia is a far more unreliable ally than I would be, but then again, Germany sure isn't too reliable either. What tone do you think I should take in my reply?

In the meantime, France's falling fast. Brest will be lost, and so will be Marseilles even though France made a successful attack against the Italians in there.

I could also sue for peace with Russia against Germany, but I think I have more leverage against Germany than Russia.

It doesn't look good. Why would he have been moving to the North Sea other than to attack England? At this point I'd say that you'r beeter off with Russia, but then there's that nasty F STP (nc) to worry about. But then again it really looks like A Germany/Russia alliance. And to make matters worse it looks like Germany has a deal with Italy to boot (ugggh, bad pun). In fact Germany seems damn cozy with everyone.

Maybe that's your plan. Incite the "Kill Germany!" crowd , and make sure there are 4-5 other people in it. I think you're instincts are correct. He's full of sh^t that his move North Sea "doesn't count." It means eveything I'd say.
