Well guys, I wish I could have done better. I was the top Italy in the tourney to 1905, when some rascal got 6-7 centers in one year! But considering the stab I took from Russia in 1906, and that England and I held off a 17 center Russian solo charge, it wasn't a bad result. I get 24 points (14 for 2nd place + 10 for SCs held at the finish) I think that's enough to get me through to round two.
I also had a direct hand in eliminating Austria, Turkey, and in the very last turn France, who was acting as a Russian lap dog. All in all a satisfying game. It looks like the 2028 Russian (Great British) and English (Black Hat Brigade) player's teams both may make the top 10 list.
Sahib's impending solo will carry Team II past Team I alone, unless Bezerker has a 4-5 center 1909. Then again I suppose Defiant is technically still alive... and with the mid April calender deadline for round one, could eek out a few more points.
