Is there anyway to switch the color the the barbarian shield. I am color blind and I mistake it for some of the computer players (Orange?) It would be great to make it white or yellow.

In the .../ctp_data/default/gamadata directory, look for the Colors00.txt file.
About a dozen lines down, you'll see:
COLORSET_COLOR 196 0 38 #COLOR_PLAYER0
Change the numbers to 255 255 255 for white, or 255 255 0 for yellow. Save and restart CTP.
You can change any of the player colors. You're player 1, the barbarians are player 0, and the other civs are player 2 and up.
