We need to agree on a difficulty level.
I think that one of us can draw lots to see who gets what civ as well. Make it nice and random. I will do it and keep my word as a gentleman (if that is possible! ) of not to cheat.
We have the following players:
1) Exile
2) Henrik
3) Hogfather
4) Cpoulos
5) HsFB(?)
We have the following civs to fill in:
1) France
2) Britain
3) Austria
4) Prussia
5) Russia
So all we are missing is confirmation from HsFB, I believe.
And so we can probably start on Sunday if all goes well.

HsFB? You in? I will make draws tonight and post them here as well.
We need to contact Henrik to see if he agrees.
We shall play at King level as it seems to make everyone happy.
On Sunday, the first man plays his turn and passes it on.

The draw performed and its outcome:
1) Exile- Emperor Francis II of Austria
2) Henrik- Tsar Alexander I of Russia
3) Hogfather- Duke Frederick Wilhelm III of Prussia
4) Cpoulos- King George III of Britain
5) HsFB- Emperor Napoleon of France
The draw was completely fair and impartial.
Maybe someone will explain how to set a PBEM game up NOW

do i need Civ2MGE to play this!?
also, i either have a different version of the scenario or my taste for them is completely different from yours!
Look at the map!
W and C europe is OK, but Southern Russia is a hughe grassland with some forests, no hills or anything! no plains either!
and the tech tree! this guy has given nearly all the techs he doesn't want to be used to the players, and the Scientific report is a mess. Besides, if you take a city, F cavalry "partisans" pop up... Partisans are OK, but Cavalry?
and nearly half of the non-availiable-at-start units are made availiable by one tech, including all modern ships!
Oh, and the Russians begin with Future Tech 1...
Hodad (the Hogfather) has made a similar scenario, starting on the Austro-Prussian war which is very good, and can be played by 6 or 7 people...
It has a good deal of events and a very good tech tree...

I must confess that I ahven't had more than a quick look at the scenario since Exile sent it to me a few days ago. He did mention that it was one of the first available on the net...

Well, with Henrik, Chris, that makes 3. Now if we can convince Hogfather and HsFB to join in, its a go. The chances are good that I'll be awake for quite awhile tonight however, so it might be around noonish that you'll see me online.
You can play whichever civ you want, just work it out with Cpoulos and whoever else will join. I'm flexible w/this scenario; all the civs that are meant to be played have something interesting going for them. The Berbers are not intended for human play, however. The "Commerical States," Italy and the Low Countries can be, but the sceanrio works well if they are left out as well. I can't honestly see anyone winning with the "Commercial," or white civ, but it might be fun to play the spoiler.
Till then,
Exile
