i started this thread as well in the official EU-forum. the idea is to post the most weird things happend in your games which could barely ever have happend in real history. except the country you played of course.


i saw:

.)venice colonizing gold coast
.)persia attacking in buenos aires
.)china owning provinces in india
.)marocco gaining land in france
.)iraq having two provinces in eastern europe
.)poland having colonies in madagascar and mocambique
.)scotland colonizing around the great seas
.)austria having colonies in south africa
.)the netherlands owning almost all of the indonesian region (well, this WAS history but however worth to mention)

In my game:

China owns: Gotland, Estonia, Bombay, and four Persian provinces They're my allies, and they are a lot more useful than on would think
Turkey has colonies up and down the sides of Africa.
Sweden has extensive trade posts in North America that have cut off English expansion..
I successfully got 18,000 High(7) agressiveness natives to join my colony in Da Nang

I'm sure there's a lot I'm forgeting.

Maybe not wierd, but damned funny...

Helvetia, taken over by France... when France fights a war somewhere else, Helvetia revolts becomes a country again and promptly gets annexed by Savoy .

Sweden beat up Russia twice
Scotland sacked London once

Persia took Emilia from the Papal states.

In my most recent game sweden and scotland sacked flanders all the way down to Paris, But after about 10 years I managed to get htem to a white peace.

Granada defeated me as spain once, in dead serious they had an army of about 90 guys and with andalasia they could build more, plus the rebels, man that sucked

Portugual defeated me on the ground as spain once, Naravva or whatever that country is called stopped a siege assault of 112k infantry, no cavalry or guns though.

Columbus' expedition was destroyed outside the canary islands by portugual once.

A civil war sacked all my cities in england and scotland once.

Lots of other stupid stuff has happened to me.

Scotland owns all of Ireland and most of the main Isle.
Savoy owns at least six provinces
Russia has African, Atlantic, and Oceanic provinces (me of course

Meh, that's all I can think of. I'm sure I'll have more with my current game.

I own over 250 cities, 68 colonies, and 48 trade posts as France.

I have a Siberian colony, that borders Russia, Poland, Turkey, and Persia.

I border Poland and Turkey with my mainland.

My allies are: China, Mughals, Sweden(not that wierd)

I annexed Japan in 1701

Normal, France in the Grand Campaign.


How are these for wierd French colony names:

Nouvelle Holland (yeah, I've owned the latter since God knows when, but...)
Nouvelle Finmark (A colony named after a colony I captured from someone else and built up... how did I get that for a city name.)

The Ottomans have an extensive colonial presence in North and Central America in 1540 (I stole maps from the Spanish near the beginning).

Every single Catholic, Orthodox, and Moslem power (barring the ones I'm allied to), and a few Protestant powers declaring war on me (1535). My badboy value is ~85, since I've annexed Crimea (peacefully), the Mamelukes, Hungary, Wallachia, Moldova, Venice, Persia, Genoa, Savoy, and Milan . Once, I get my badboy value down some and pacify my newly conquered Western Italian provinces, I'll finish off Austria .

Well, from what I hear, under the current version (may be changed in the 1.08) it takes 10 years for your badboy value to drop 1 point. So you might as well go ahead and take down as many people as you want.


Or you can always edit your game and lower it to a reasonable level.

Friedrichsstadt (I have to have captured this one)
Nouvelle Wessex (...can you imagine France naming a tradepost New Wessex?)
Nouvelle Kent
Nouvelle (insert name of German province here... I have all those)
Nouvelle Rome (I have all the Nouvelle Italian provinces too)

Names assigned to my country's trade posts, which is beyond my control, can qualify as wierd, because neither I, nor the historial France would build a city called Nouvelle Kent, even if they did take Kent from the English, and even if this would have rubbed that in the English people's face.
