No wonder this game seemed so familiar, I think the designers got the idea form this ooooooooooooooollldddddd text game called... I don't remeber but i have it in my 486 I'll try to find it on the net and post it in this thread

There is an older board game of the same name. There is also an old computer game from the 1980's (Medieval Lords) which is very similar and is based on an earlier period, but Europa Universalis is much better.

I liked ML. It was a bit simplistic but fun. I agree though. EU does feel like it's related.
