	I download patch. EU starts crashing!! Put an end to popups!

Has anyone else had this problem?? I downloaded Patch 1.08 NA, and both times I've tried to save the game since then, the game crashed, returning me to the desktop--although the music continued playing. I have Windows ME; do you think that could be doing it?

(I've shot off an e-mail to Strategy First customer support, but I know I won't get an answer before tomorrow.)

Your best bet is to go to the official forums and post the problem there. The programmers are there reading stuff.


Um, say what you do before the crash and your system specs. They sometimes ask for the save game where it happens.

Thanks, Kyle. There's a whole thread going there with people crashing with Patch 1.08. The powers that be have no idea what's causing it.

Never happened to me. My crashes came before the patch

I received a reply from Stategy First. They said download the latest drivers for my sound card, turn off autosave and close down any programs running in the background. I did. It still crashed. I uninstalled EU, then went in and manually wiped out the patch (which was still in the directory) and reinstalled EU. No more crashes.

My own personally hypothesis is that it's an incompatibility problem with Windows Me.

Maybe, but it still crashes with 2000 and 98. But I haven't experianced anything like you've mentioned, where it crashed while attempting to save.


Mine seem to be random.
