Well Mark, if I had known that this way the way your going to play...basically sneak-up up on a fellow good-alligned player while they're not signed in, and TOTALLY destroy or capture what chance they had in playing the game ... I would have done things differently. And your not evil now that you've done what you did to me? Or is Apolyton Corp now an evil Corporation?

I now have no chance left in this game ... so I wish you all the best (or worse depending on the "individual").

It was fun while it lasted, thanks for ending it for me Mark.

Ciao

i'm sorry again Wittlich. this game is about good and evil and i learned this the hard way too as you saw from other threads

but what did you expect when you left 2 constellations outside of fed space with 0 shields? it could easily be an alien instead of me

i urge you not to back out, it;s still very early

How do you capture a ship rather than destroy it?

First off, both of the ships had 30 shields each. And secondly, do you know how long it took me to compile those 80,000 Credits? Yes, this game IS over for me. All of the Space Ports are not trading as much, for as much, as they were in the beginning of this game. So I'm basically dead or would be "sucking hind ***" for the remainder of this game. If this was a single player game, now would be the time when I would restart the entire thing.

However, I will still check in here every now and then to see if another game is going to be started. Or if someone could drop me a line (either PM or Email) I would appreciate it.

Good question Garth. Ask MarkG, (I think he has his own copy of the rules)

i have personally been in onle 15% of the universe. have you been to more?
and you know that almost everyone is a newbie, so competition is low

so, get these scouts for your pods, get more people in your corp to fight the evil empire and... PLAY!

Congrats mark, you blew up my only chance of getting to the next segment of the game, and you forced me to have to sink so low as to borrow a small sum of creds from a fellow corp member in order to buy a new ship....

BTW, UR, you can take the creds from me now, add interest to it, I don't mind. Just leave me with 1k or so creds so I can start trading again... Thanks for understanding.... I really didn't want to be stuck in a pod...

I want to take some of the burden and accusations on me in regard of attacking the CivCorp. I was the one who found those two constellations with 100 fighers in NON-fed space. MarkG was online at the moment and after a brief negotiation we decided to attack. As MarkG had Scout Maradeur with offensive odds of 2.0 compared to mine of 1.4 we decided that he does the 'dirty job'.

I too am sorry for the damage done to the members of CivCorp but still, as the game name states, this is a game about both trade and war. The whole idea of the game is that individuals and corporations fight against each other. This is something that makes this game fun.

You can play safely if you obey some ground rules. For good traders, the most important rule is: ALWAYS end your turn at fed space with max 100 fighers! When your exp level goes over 999 you must find other ways. One is to buy a cloaking device for each night or build a planet with a strong citadel.

So I would encourage CivCorp to continue the game. Consider our attack as a drawback from where it's possible to recover. As MarkG stated this game indeed is still very young.

There's no room for complaint here. You weren't in Fed space. End of story. If I were in your spot now, I'd start making some alliances, if you know what I mean...

Wittlich has come a long way, hasn't he? >grins<

Was just scrolling through very old posts in this forum and found this. Cute stuff heheh

Where are all the players, anyway?! :< Back just one year ago there were like 30 people posting very regularly here, and now they're just poof, gone... Were the posts not in their own forum back then? Should I post in general to try to attract more people to TW2002 maybe?

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Ah yes, back when when I believed fellow players are all good at heart! Of course, this is when I first started playing the game. I've learned diferently (the hard way).

Suffering from ads?

And how much sheer VALUE you placed on the vast riches (all 80k of those credits!) lost when they took your two ships... Very amusing hehehe...

Definitely considering posting in 'poly General forum to drum up more people in this forum again... maybe with my new game running people will get back into it a little, or maybe I can get more brand new ones again... This forum is a tough one to find if you don't know about it, way at the bottom of the 'poly forums list...
