Markos had every right to attack you when you had a Federal reward on you for bad deeds. I understand that you and Markos have worked on a solution, however.

I managed to capture a merchant cruiser operated by an evil alien trader, but when I got it back to the Stardock, the Feds reposessed the ship before I got a chance to sell it.

DAMN IT! The warning just says that I can't park it overnight, and I didn't!! I can't even recoup my costs in lost fighters

Yin: Another user (DanS) had destoryed my ship first. Mark destroyed a defenseless pod to get the commission. Is it a bit evil? ;-P
Anyway, MarkG has offered a reasonable deal but I cannot fulfil it. 8Xk credits! How can a newbie afford it? Guess I have to earn money for a long time before clearing the grudge from Apolyton Corp.

Well, it's a matter of choice. If you choose to attack a member of a corporation (currently the most powerful one), you gotta figure you'll be in a sore spot! Now, if you want to do some dirty work behind the scenes for us...hmmmm....

Has anyone made/Is there a manual I could easily print for myself?
First try of game ended when got tired of what comand next to use.

I guess the key here is "IN FEDERATION SPACE" ... Since mark just "raped" me in uncharted space. For no reason and I was also "good alligned" I might add.

Fellow players beware, Mark was one of the first to state "if you have more that 100 fighters, you will be towed out of Fed space." This maybe true, but don't trust him. I had a Constallation Class ship with 30 shields and 100 fighters. Mark destroyed it while I was off line and left me with 25 credits and an escape pod. My fellow member of my young corportation (CIVCORP) was also raped by Mark. But this time he CAPTURED Rhinephalz's Constallation ship (30 shields/100 fighters) and left him floating in space with just 25 credits and an escape pod.

So fellow players, you've been warned.

Well, somewhere in TW web pages is a statement that "if your ship has a combat computer it can detect how many shields are in the target ship". I guess that Constellation & Scout Maradeur don't have that computer..

Sorry can't resist going in.
I also destroyed MarkG's ship with some shields. I guess we do not read enough documentation.
My guess is that shield requires fuel or ore. I don't know why travelling does not require fuel.
Any one interested in an alliance against Apolyton (in this Tradewar game of course)?

I don't think shields require Fuel Ore. AFAIK only the Transwarp Drive needs fuel. Other items are powered by the ship or are self-contained.

When you attack an enemy ship, if it has shields, the combat display will tell you it is protected by "strong electromagnetic field" or something similar.
