Could you bump up the daily port regeneration rate? A lot of the ports are getting depleted, which makes life difficult for newbies.

We wouldn't have this problem if we all have our personal planets to start with, of course But we don't, so we must rely on the ports buying and selling stuff in a decent range.

I don't know, there still seem to be some ports left that are quite full. You only have to search for them.

Sure, once you have your ship built up some - more shields, more holds - you can strike out. However, the inital build up is the hard part, since a newbie gets only 10 holds in the merchant cruiser. You can't think along what we can do. We can do more, since we have been around.

I would agree that the percentage could be upped a bit for port regeneration. It's a hassle to come to the spacedock with some extra equipment and not be able to sell it. Maybe just a few points?

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. A lot of stuff happening around the office, I myself haven't even been on in several days.

I think one of the reasons the ports are being drained so quickly is that the external AI server is running, so even when people aren't playing, the aliens are roaming around trading. I've jacked the port regen rate up to 12% to compensate. We'll see if the new limit of 400 turns per day ends up causing ports to get taxed even harder.. if so I'll just bump them again.

In truth, I hadn't expected this many people to start playing the game, or I would have made the universe much larger! =)

I just want to say thanks for the time you took to put this server up. We (well, at least I) really appreciate it.

And the turn and regen upgrade is nice too.

These guys are moving around as we speak, building an army.

Let me know if they're getting out of hand, it's hard for me to tell how powerful they are until I get some reports back on their strength.

Well, I just wanted to thank Dan for starting this game up as well! As for the Cylons (sp), I'm not sure about their power, but the aliens and the Ferrengi seem to be pretty strong!
