Excuse the crude language, but what the hell is that?
Not only do we have to compete to make the most efficient use of our turns, but now we can't be on the server for more than an hour a day?!??! Or am I missing something?

I spend a good bunch of time discussing various aliances and strategies, only to be left with more turns that I can shake a stick at and that I can't even use!

Please please, dear ambassador The Eyes of Horus, remove that time limit! It makes hard to have corporate strategy planning meetings as your time ends up and you still have turns left.. *sniff*

Just got the same report and I had to log out. This makes it difficult to chat with other players. I suppose you can log on again, but most players usually call it a day by then and head back to fed space.

I just found that out myself. I logged in and was booted off right away.

NOTE TO ALL PLAYERS:

At the moment the game is set so that you can only play ONE HOUR PER DAY!

So if you see a "5 min warning", stop what you're doing and head back to fedspace. You'll be a sitting duck otherwise.

I think the time limit is silly. Is there any reason for that? I don't think it's the loading of the server, since the game has to be up and running continuously anyway and ASCII I/O takes very little bandwidth.

Yes, I can't quite follow the logic on this. Perhaps a glich? I suppose if the server is dragging (this IS a Firaxis server after all and NOT our toy), but how much drag could there be? Is it a stretegic challenge? If so, how is it strategic? It makes you simply want to log-in and log-out without developing a community.

Curious. I bet the answer will be something simple, though.

Remarkable though, you'll do better with only a tad over 200 turns both times with one hour each then all 400 at once. Either that or use up all your turns then talk.

2 hours should be ample. Apolyton Corp, please give a chance to the persons who work normal hours!
I hope the Ferrangi can balance the game a bit by fighting more Apolyton corp ships.
It seems that two big corps will be dominating the game. But small traders can still prosper provided that they don't alienate the big ones.
Any one needs to have some dirty jobs done? I am available for hire.

As I am an enemy of Apolyton corp, I prefer not to let down any other corporation at this moment.
I am willing to help your corp with money, Urban Ranger, provided that you promise protecting me from Apolyton even after I become evil.
But I can only earn 10-15k per day maximum at this moment. So you may not find it good enough.

There is strength in numbers.

Even the mighty Apolyton Corp might think twice to pick on a member of a fellow corporation, even if it's smaller.

And it's just not money. There's also mutual protection, and the sharing of information, so you don't need to waste precious turns to scout the unknown.

Thank you for the offer Urban Ranger. I am now seriously considering whether to join your corp or siding with Hutak.
Maybe there can be a deal with Hutak so that he gets a lot of money while you get an ISS.
Which medium do you prefer for private discussion? Private message in Apolyton or in Tradewar?

the problem is bigger for me(and other with the same ship) cause i have a 2 turn/warp ship.
i also spent lots of time geting the best prices during trade, but i've stoped doing that now(for other reasons).

still, i'm in a corporation with three other people and live chat is much easier and effective than other means. and even if i'm doing more hunting than trading these days, i'm still playing until the last minute of the day...
