Builder-Momentum Team Series: #2 Enter the AD-FREE zone

Game #2 has begun !

G = AI
H = Leahcim = leahcim@buffnet.net
U = Dilithium Dad = pre@po.cwru.edu
M = AI
S = Buster = nida@mail1.stofanet.dk
B = AI
P = Andrew = andrew.krupowicz@utoronto.ca

U + H versus P + S (Builder and Momentum players, respectively!)

3 each of pods/scouts/formers for each human. (Sparta gets 1 rover instead of a scout, as usual). Some forest and 4 of each unit for the AI.

Each faction gets an extra 100 EC to accelerate development a bit.

Since contact is allowed, AI factions have the other AI factions ommlink frequencies to be fair to them. (All 3 are in contact with each other and probably conspiring behind your back!)

Player rules:

Contact between the 2 team members permitted from day one.
Use of stockpile energy permitted.
DW upgrades at end of turn only.
(Basically standard Apolyton tourny rules, with the exception of stockpile energy)

Scoring:

Victory is the primary indicator, but AC score is the tie-breaker.

The games will not be rated.

All systems go in 2101! All units started in a single square instead of each in their own square as I did for BM01 and will do for BM03. This is OK, but our development will be behind for about 5 years of slogging through fungus (assuming all pods make it to suitable base sites through the fungus!).

Hmmm - I don't remember starting BM01 with pods in different squares.

(Am in too many games, I guess, for memory to be exact)

Indeed. AI having each others comm link is a two edged sword in that contacting one means one can get the others.

Also they seem to have developed a dislike for the Hive-Uni combo. I wonder why?

Guess they recognize good sense when they meet it. Lacking that one gets a long way with some grease.

Deirdre though sells her services rather expensively. I had to go into debts to finance her demands.

Lots of players give too little priority to getting the AI on their side.
