City Viewbox Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

Has anyone noticed how the depiction of a city's grid radius on a city screen reveals more than what you actually "see" on the map. For example, it can show military units that were previously out of site, and, more importantly, grid squares for adjoining enemy cities.

Here's another anomaly with the viewbox. I believe it can only show like 28 units you have in a city. This bothers me somewhat b/c I am playing "Red Front" right now, and I've stockpiled lots of units for a big push. However, there simply isn't room to show them all. This also happens in normal squares; when you click on them, you notice that you can only "see" up to ten units.

Is there a patch-cure for this dilemma?

Thanks

Kinda has to be that way, otherwise you'd try to work a square already in use...

Venger, again, you make fun of this person rather than m,aking an attempt to help.

Sortub -

Kind of what Venger hinted at, you have to see the armies in your city square so that you kow why you can't work the squares. Think of it this way... If an army of men marched onto one of your farm fields, how can you expect your workers to get the food and such from it? And as for your second point: I know of no such patch for this. I don't really think it is a bug to be fixed though. There has to be some limit to the number of units you can view in the city. The number you can view is much smaller when you are outside of a city. Unforunetely, you are just going to have to deal with this one aspect of the game.

What in the HELL are you talking about? Pray tell how did I make fun on him?!?!?!

Ask Sortub if he feels made fun of, here or in any of the other posts I've responded to him on. God almighty people, get over it!

Gentlemen-

I merely had an inquiry and an observation, which, from my understanding is the purpose of a public forum for any topic. I have learned much from the collective corpus of "Civ Knowledge" out there in this fashion, and appreciate your responses.

I didn't feel mocked in the above message, and I would be sorry to see what started as a mere query turn into an on-line pissing match. Clearly, this form of communication has its limitations.

BTW just captured Berlin -- May '45 -- in Red Front!

Peace

I sure hoped you didn't. I can't see how you could have taken anything the wrong way. Just tried to give you the straight skinny...
