EST - Steve 5304/Saddam/ et al got himself up to 38 days, with various things. After a private conversation, where we came ot and understanding about the rules, he got unbanned in 11 or 12 days. Attitude counts for a lot, both in increasing, or decreasing, ban length. Giancarlo and Horse both got two weeks, but were out in 5 days.
Just because a ban is listed as X days, doesn't mean it will actually be that length. Very few actually are, but if someone really gets an attitude about being held to the rules, they can talk themselves into that position. Or, if they chill, they can talk themselves back out of that position.

The deleted porn thread was posted by "annoying_git". Is that login yours?

MtG, take some time off from responding to Ann to cool off. Ann, I suggest likewise. I tihnk it is what you both need. I believe this blew up from many small comments turning into something large and messy. Ann wasn't targetting you with what she was saying. You two both know that when I'm asking for peace that someone drastically wrong must be going on, as I love flame wars, but not one taken personally between friends.
MtG: I realize you trust your memory sometimes more than facts, and Ann, I realize that you are taking a huge some of your own money out of your pocketbook, for no monetary gain. I believe this has brought out the worst in both of you. That doesn't mean it has to last indefinitely. So, please, both of you. Take some time off of this senseless flaming (who would have though, me calling flaming sensless) and let it die off. Then approach each other privately and dicuss things politely. I'm sure you two can reconcile your differences.
Laz, and any others who are wondering. Ann only edits threads which will cause her to lose the server. She apperently now has the server based on a company who caters to a large corporation, so they don't tolerate pornography, or piracy links in the least. Anything else is acceptable (well other than MtG at the moment, but hopefully that will pass - and I believe it will if both can keep their guns holstered).

BFB - Sexually explicit material is not allowed, something with the service agreement she signed to get the site. Since you;ve admitted that it imight have been that, it probably was. I've said many hostile/rude things on ACOL I haven't been banned or had a post deleted. I haven't known ann to just trivially delete threads for any reason. So unless you posted the aforementioned stuff or smiley bombed a thread or similar, it had to be a forum glitch (one of those that makes my Apolyon logins disappear maybe?
If your truly curious, you can email ann and I'm sure she'll get back to you when she has the time.
MtG: I didn't mean to imply that you two hated each other, but more or less that you two need a break from each other. As you and I both know that this isn't in Ann's character (which is usually impecable) to ban people or delete threads. From my view, Ann made a joke, without a smilie, so it was taken far more seriously than it should have, and you, like me, being a good spiteful southern felt the need to reply likewise, slinging any bit of dirt you could find (I would probably have done the same) I know you don't post at ACOL often (one of the reasons IIRC was Kitty and I's immaturity. I know that you and I quite often don't see I to eye.  But hopefully you agree with me on the fact that this can be remedied in time. Unless you don't want to post at ACOL again, then don't bother with what I'm saying. I do plan on emailing Ann and seeing if things can be reversed - as I'm sure, while you don't post at ACOL much, you still don't want to lose all privledges there. (please suspend the crap that you don't care in slightest, as you do have friends there which I'm sure you'd wish to keep in touch with). I'm just trying to help out here.
I know you wish this whole thing dropped, I do as well. But I want it dropped with more positive results then lets take our ball and go home. I've tried to remain neutral in this, hoping that it would blow over, but sadly it didn't, so now I'm forcing myself into the middle of this, as I few you as part of the ACOL community - even as little as you post.
If you think I'm butting in where I don't belong, just let me know, I'll give up what so far seems to be a futile effort to make peace... but then again, what ever has stopped a southern from fighting a fight that he can't win.
PS. I don't think I got to congrtulate you on Ian's first steps, so good luck with the kick who can now reach anything and everything you don't want him to reach. I'll probably semd you a personal message later on about this if you do not mind.

MtG, 1.5 to 3 percent is an appallingly high rate.
From the looks of things, this whole stunt was based around just that. It leads me to believe that in the 'get a life' department, many are sorely lacking...
