	how do you play a multiplayer game? Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

I am German and not used to the way you play multiplayer games. Can anybody exlplane this to me and does anybody know if the german Civ2 MP version fits to the english one.
In Germany we just wrote the IP into the Forum and we meet us befor we start in a chatroom. How does it work here?

yes the German and English versions work well together as does the US one

Instead of posting our IP address in a public place.... Many of us use ICQ... an instant messanger program available free at icq.com

We post on the forum that we are interested in playing or just surf our ICQ list.

If you are interested in playing with people here, it would be a good idea to get ICQ

thank you for your aswers. As you suggested I got a ICQ. My ICQ is 17441012. But how must I go on. Do I have to add all players from the playerlist to my contact list? is it useful to ad my ICQ there. I tried to contact Sir Ronn but they saidto me I need his agreement to ad him to my list. So I am a little bit confused.

Look and see who's in your area of the world, for time's sake.
I put my ICQ where it can be seen always. You can put in signature line, or in the location area.

One of the standard features in ICQ is "requiring authorization" before you can be added to a persons list. Some people don't have that option on, but many do. So don't take it personally. Many people will only add people they know.

As suggested, read the threads and look for people in your time zone, or people that seem to be playing during times you want to play. In addition, do just what you have done. Post here that you want to play and include your number in the post. People will contact you
