He's launched more ether probes than I can count; and what
about his (I would assume) friend bncache? Or is it just
coincidence that their names are so similar?

Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

Oh yeah, I assume he is storm.dll.

I can tell you next time I think "Hey maybe I should load my spare robbing ships with corbomite so if anybody hits the basically helpless ship they will get a surprise" I will actually do it

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

That's actually a really good idea; I popped 2 of bncache's
Merchant Freighters today, and had either had a good amount
of corbomite, he might have been able to destroy my mighty
ISS.

Now, thinking about that, I think that I will stop picking on
the "helpless" little ships that he leaves scattered, and
save my fighters for the fight against Cylon prime!

Good luck with cylon burbel. Give those aliens what's coming to them! On a side note, I read that deploying 3000 fighters in ferrengal sector (14) stops the ferrengi from regenerating at all, and you only have to face down the ones currently in existence. If that's relevent for you anymore

On the whole *.* situation, I look forward to stopping that whole issue with the pre-registration - and a good dose of corbomite - in the next game.

Well, this might be letting my secret out, but ... I cheated!

Well, not really. It turns out that there are 2 Ferrengals
in the game, and 1 group of Ferrengi out in Ferrengi space.
That one is surrounding with hordes of fighters, mines,
and Ferrengi ships.

There also seems to be a throwback to the original install,
and that was the Ferrengal in sector 14 that I took. After
I took it only one Ferrengi happened by, and he attacked a
few fighters and walked away.

And, it wasn't very hard to do, either. The real Ferrengal
has around 50,000 fighters over it in Offensive mode, and
I cannot overcome that, by a long shot!

But it was nice!

Hope Dans reads this Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Actually, I read somewhere that the alien files are not properly initialized on a rebang and need to be manually deleted or they will continue in the same strength as before the rebang. It might even be in the TW bible, I can't remember. I just hope that we don't face 3 ferrengals next rebang

the masked man Increase the size of your Attachments

Yes! that is me. I found this forum a week ago, and decided to play tw2002 the first time in many years.

Yes, bncache.dat is a similar name because I created it for my new partner in training but he won't join the game until the game is rebanged....

Yesterday, I decided to stop eprobing and go explore these many sectors they get destroyed in. Yes I spent much moola, and even ran in to the Cylons.

I can't wait till the games rebanged....

Rising Storm sounds like a good name, maybe I'll use it in the next game.
