All victory types enabled, incl. cooperative.
Directed research, no tech. stagnation.
Pod scattering ON.
Random events OFF.
Unity Survey OFF.
Do or Die ON.
Spoils of War OFF.
Otherwise, Standard rules.
Difficulty: Thinker.
Map Size: Standard.
Erosion, alien lifeforms, oceans, rainfall: all Average.
Standard starting units.
Don't set passwords - let the players do it (no moderator here).
Players are (in order):

My mail client is outlook, and I recieved the turn from SITS, but it was just a mass of TEXT in an outlook message form, not, as I expected an attachment which I could unzip.

SITS - What do I need to be able to use the file that you sent me?

DEIMOS - What format should I be sending the file to you in. I would have sent it as a winzipped attachment. Is that what you are expecting?

Please accept my apologies, while I sort this one out. Hopefully it won't happen in the future.

On a game note, I have a meeting in a few minutes and then I have two long flights this afternoon to get home. I will not be able to play my turn until around 9 pm Eastern US time (GMT -5). The good news is that I should have no more long trips for awhile. Sorry for any delays I might cause today.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am here before you today, the last day of our first year on Chiron, to present you with Deimos Industries annual report.

As you are all aware, our headquarters is now up and fully functional. The scout patrol and colony pod we assembled from the landing survivors and Unity escape module have moved out and are now looking for a viable location for our first subsidiary holdings.

The initial reports from the manager of the expeditionary force indicate that we are located on the edge of a vast, fertile plain, that includes at least one major river. This river appears to be ripe for exploitation as a major source of hydro-electric power; power that will accelerate our research initiatives along with increasing our profit margins.

Our annual income for the next fiscal year is projected to fall in line with the analyst's expectations. Our first long range research project has already started, and we should see tangible results from this soon. The project schedule and milestones are outlined in Appendix I of the Annual Report that was transmitted to your data pads as you arrived.

We have had a good year, and I look forward to next year being even better. Thank you all for coming.

It looks like the same thing happened to me as occurred with ColDark this morning. My e-mail from Deimos also did not have an attachment, but did have a ton of hexadecimal characters at the bottom of the e-mail (most likely representing the turn).

I have sent Deimos an e-mail requesting a resend with a zipped file attachment, but I wanted to post here also, in case Deimos checked here first.

There is no rush, because it will still be tonight before I will be able to get to a computer with SMAX on it.

Sorry for any difficulties. Like ColDark said, we can iron these things out this turn and then be ready to go from now on.

Unfortunately, the resend also included the file as inline text. Thanks for letting me know that you will try another one of your e-mails to try to send the file to me.

I sent you an additional e-mail address of mine that you might want to try as well.

I am on my way to the airport and will be unable to access my e-mail for several hours, so please don't think I am ignoring any posts or e-mails in that time.

You have to love technology. I was able to find an internet connection at the airport as I wait for my flight to board.

We have success.

I was able to receive the file on my main e-mail from your usa.net e-mail account.

The file also came to my Yahoo account, but if it is not too much trouble, I would appreciate it if you could send the file to my AOL account using your alternate e-mail (only because that is the one that I think to use most often and I might not always remember the Yahoo e-mail).

Unfortunately, it will still be a few hours before I can play the turn, but, at least we know it's here.

SITS. I did have a bit of extra effort and heartache trying to get my turn from the mail server at work over the weekend. It may be better to cc my turn to my home email address too.
