I managed to talk a friend of mine into gettting a copy of Civ2. However, he has a very old computer (but good enough to run the game). We tried to start the game in Win 3.1, but it says we need a later version of Windows. I know I used to play in 3.1 (years and years ago), and the offical Microprose info says it will work in 3.1. Any suggestions on how to get it to work?

Did he get Civ2 or Civ 2 Gold (Civ2MGE)? I found that Civ2 would run under Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 and that Gold would only run under Windows 95.
