no use offering to play eyes at deity, he feels that is not a real level to play on, he feels it is too slow , too boring, but basically its becasue his style cant win on that level. but thats ok becasue lots of deity players can no longer win at king level....

Perhaps an emporer level would be good compromise...


Also how bout a Tribe game with no wonders at all, played at deity level or empoerer, so that all have to build city improvemnts etc to keep populace under control, I personally feel that it is the wonders that make Civ 2 so unreal, not the different playing levels ....

Title of thread is in regard to looking for a "Tribe Game".
Since you're not in a Tribe, you have no input worthwhile.

I wasn't under the impression that Aussies only talked.
In fact, I saw many references by several Aussies expressing interest in Tribes.

the only TOPIC of this thread is about who is interested in playing a team or tribe game.
there has been a good offer from Willies tribe and we will be working on
setting up that game.. we also have an offer from drake , he is looking for interested
people to form a team...anyone interested in playing on his team should get in touch with
him ..

as to the referance of what kuja said....
i did l see that thread and post.
it was something along the lines of him using the same map we all played on in another
game you were going to start.
so we infered from that , that the map used in our game
was one you had in a saved file ready to use again....
which means it was NOT just a "custom random map" selected right before play.
but one " premade" and saved before the game started...
and " possibly" looked at before game started...
which can never be proven, so there is no evidence which you keep rambling on about.
we are not restating any charges against you anyway...
the fact is that slow and i both saw
when kuja posted about the map..but
that thread is long deleted and gone.
so the point of all this trash talk is useless.

I for one don't really want to play any games unless it is really worth my while. A team game with species would have been worth my while because there was more riding on it, but I'm not going to play a game simply for bragging rights. Now if there is anybody out there who wants to make it more important by putting their reputation, life, or their soul on the line then I'd more than likely take the challenge. I want trophies, but I don't want trophies that took 20min to get.

I explained this to you before, why do you insist on revising history? Markus was to my north and we did not even make contact until after Slow was gone or well on the way out. I'm glad to hear we will start a tribe game on Sunday.
Is there one of you who is a good host. 6 players is sometimes a problem for us (but normally not).
And do you have any rules? We usually allow everything and would like to go on with this practice. But there are some opportunities in a tribe game which are really weird. So I would like to know if we go with this practice or do you prefer some rules.

[*] Deity ofcourse
[*] Random map 50*80 with all settings in the midrange
[*] Barbarians at their worst
[*] 7 Nations. 7th will be AI starting again when killed
[*] We should alternate the colours: you'll get white, blue and lightblue, we'll get green, yellow and orange
[*] normal speed, normal shields
[*] maximun length per turn: 2 minutes
