Hmmm...
KhanMan's (not kahn! :P) Adjunct to the Ming-RAH alternative to the modified ColdWizardian Nomads Challenge:
Required settings:
Bloodlust
Large World
7 civs
Raging Hordes
yes on restart
tech paradigm at double tech rate
no advanced tribes
KhanMan's "City of Wonders": You must build a city with every single wonder in it. You may play OCC or other strategies, but all wonders must be in one city.
Deity, 7 civs, large map, raging hordes
(and, before you ask, you can't say "most, half of, or some wonders"...whimps! :P )

KhanMan, I know that you may consider this self-envident, but for the super wonder city challange I don't have to survive for a set time beyound building the final wonder, other than the end of the turn of course? I assume that you expect the last wonder to be completed prior to 2020A.D., correct?

Well, I assume that you can survive indefinately, if you can build all wonders in one city.
You can win through conquest or AC, or just survive.
Personally, it's just the challenge of beating the computer in every wonder race, in one city, that I was interested in.

Here's one suggested by GP.
Hit space bar and do nothing at all for as long as you dare. Then play it out the normal way, AC or bloodlust. Winner: the one who started the latest.
A lighter version: hut popping and exploring with your two settlers allowed instead of doing nothing. Then settle down as late as possible and play it out as above.
Another challenge is the despotism challenge: Stay in despotism the whole game and go for AC.

No Trade.
But this will be a challenge only at the high levels.

I tried this one. I played on Diety, Large Map, raging hoards, etc.
I decided to play OCC. I started my city in 25ad.
My NON army at the time consisted of two settlers, one legion, and one horseman. I had Bronze working, Ceremonial burial, masonry, and horseback riding, and about 625 gold.
I was able to complete Shake's, Isaac Newton's, Darwin's, the UN, and Apollo. For the heck of it, I also built the Manhatten project, but that was probably a mistake.
It's about 1970 or so and I'm building my spaceship. I'll definitely finish before 2020, but I probably won't be the first one to AC.
Bottom line: It's a pretty fun challenge.

Cool!
Some time ago I tried to come up with a two-stage OCC and a way to compare the results. The idea was to first play OCC and then conquer the world as fast as possible. Since OCC and early conquest are biased towards certain styles of play, that way both space men and bloodlust men could compete.
It didn't catch on, maybe it will this time? I'll see if I can find the thread.
