hehe its kind of an interesting incident actually... kudos to whoever put the limpet mine in the unexplored sector next to their bubble gate. I lost an e-probe at the gate, and immediately blind warped to an apparently empty sector next to the gate, a sector that my ether probe had just passed through and reported completely empty. I rematerialized in a solid mass... fortunately, my escape pod was functioning normally.

the sector was completely empty except for a single limpet mine, undetectable to ether probes. That single mine cost me well over a million credits. And gave me a new respect for whoever owns that bubble!

My only concern is that it will be difficult to come back from such a loss in a game with so few turns. However, I will continue to hack away at it and be a little more circumspect in my aggressive blind warps.

Hey, at least you still have your alignment; that's a good 500k right there! =) Looks like I just got a better idea of how to
start defending my bubble! Oh, wait, I don't have one yet!

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Looks like Aeturneus MORE than made up for his losses. He just got Solarwind. Thats more than 1 million credits right there.. he also got a whole bunch of ships.

So no harm done, maybe a day's worth of turns no more.

He bagged Solarwind? That's not fair! I wanted him!

I wanted to get him back for the whole McBurbel's thing!

Guess it's back to the strategy-drawing board for me.
