I am going to begin work on the modpack right now, its Sunday morning (a little too damn early, but Sunday nonetheless). I should be finished during the day today.

I really have to know all seven tribes before I start, and I really want to be France or Italy. So I need everyone that's playing (who's playing anyways?) to please tell me, I already have Cyber and Deity's (Dutch and Brits). So I need the remainder to tell me what tribes they are going to use, I can start on the mod now but I'd be better of knowing the tribes first.

I am replacing Fundy with Fascism ala the HOTW.

I'll get back to you guys ASAP.

So, should I make a EUROPA scenario folder and unzip the contents into it? Can I view the map without starting a scenario?

Also, have we determined which day we would play? I have friends asking me to partake in Friday or Saturday night events, and I have them on hold until I know for which day I'm committed.

friday-saturday night 23:00 - 03:00 GMT (London Time)
saturday-sunday night: 23:00 - 03:00 GMT (London Time)

I'm not sure, but I thought that:S

Yeah you can see the map simply by opening the "start.sav" file as you would normally open a saved scenario file.

The folder should be placed into your scenario folder under the name "Europa" then everything should be kosher, well test it out during the week and all.

I am not sure who's playing in this game but whatever. I'd rather play during the week, like Tuesday, but if Friday or Saturday is all you can muster then that's cool I guess.

Pherhaps you can remove the passage between Sweden and Denmark ?

I'm not sure if it's smart to position my civilization between Germany, France and the UK, but pherhaps it would give me some diplomatic advantages

I really can't play no other then in the weekends.
I have to work on workdays and can play during the night for that reason.

The map looks great!

A couple of stupid questions:

I made a EUROPA scenario folder and unzipped the contents into it. Now, within the EUROPA folder (which is in SCENARIOS), there is folder called DIPEURO. Should I move DIPEURO directly into SCENARIOS and delete EUROPA, or leave it as it is?

There are 2 .scn files - Europa and Dipeuro. It looks like the Europa scenario has the appropriate nations, while Dipeuro includes the Americans. Is this as it should be, or reversed?

And since nobody seems able to pick a definite day, I suggest Saturday night.

Cybershy, last time I checked the Dutch are located in the Netherlands, perhaps I missed something?

Ajbera, the reason the folders say Dipeuro is because I already had a Europa folder. What you should do is place the "Dipeuro" folder that comes from unzipping into the scenario folder. After you have done this rename the "Dipeuro" folder to "Europa" then delete the "Dipeuro.scn" file because it is useless.

If memory serves these are the nations and their leaders...

Italy - Capo
Britain - Deity
France - Markus
The Netherlands - Cybershy
Spain - Ajbera
Germany - ?
Russia - ?

Which means we would require two more, but that is just off the top of my head, so I am not sure if those two spots are open. Would someone please fill me in?

holland looks like its toast. Its traped between france and germany and england. They won't be able to build any cities. wouldn't it make more sence to have a austria? If me and zylka are sorrounding holland i can guarentee that player will be toast before 1500 bc.

You've located Holland exactly at the right place the Capo !

I'm just wondering if I should take that place.
I'll take a good look at the map and think about a better civilization to play. I think that would improve game ballance as well.

Two more humble suggestions; that huts are wiped from the map, and that the coal resource Germany is given be changed to a pheasant. I noticed Markus is the only one who starts with 4 resources (including 2 river pheasants), and I'm jealous

I'm available at 7:00pm Pacific on Friday (probably earlier) and can play all night and into the morn... Saturday night/Sunday morning I'll be aquiring/nursing a Canada Day hangover, but will be available again Sunday, around 4:00pm pacific - again able to play for 10+ hours if need be.

Markus, your cap has two river pheasants, a river silk and a grape! I won't complain as much for Germany and Russia as Italy, England, Spain who have mediocre land and crap capital resources on top. I also wouldn't mind if it was anyone but you. Giving a big start advantage to the best player is murder for this game

Would you like some cheese with that whine? You got 2 river silk and pheasent and a coal for a cap. if anyones start is unfair its yours.
England has a 100% trade bonus for all routes to it, spain has no civs close to it and will expand peacefully till modern ages. italy has africa, the baltics etc. france is pretty much screwed with 4 civs boardering it. (only civ to have that many boarders)
