Hacksaw, I don't know what to say buddy. I've checked my e-mail, and ICQ log, and nothing exists from you for Fall 1902. If you say that you submitted orders, I believe you. But I canott allow you to submit them after having seen the results of the turn. What I will do is waive any NMR penalty for this game, the tournament scoring, and the ADC records in observance of your computer problems. But your units still hold in place for Fall 1902. Furthermore, I need a retreat and disband order from you ASAP.

A note to all players. Please assume that I do NOT have your orders unless you receive confirmation of them from me. I confirm all orders, revisions, retreats, and adjustments, ALWAYS. E-mail is the best method for doing this, because of it's superior ability to date stamp and archive sent messages.

I have already sent you my disband, but really now that I look at theings, it's very dependant upon Italy and Russia's choices for retreats, so disregard it until the retreats are actually posted please. (In the event I don't make a revised deadline for the disband, what I've said shal lstand, but I need as much help as is allowed in my situation)

Gibsie, we have an accurate map right now. Unfortunately Hacksaw seems to be miffed about the screw up with his orders. In any case, his retreat is still due. The fleet in Sweden is dislodged regardless of what comes of this. If I do not receive the Russian retreat by this evening, when I am ready to adjudicate, it will go off the board. I've allowed a little more time for him here because there appears to be a problem with the submitted orders. I have Italy's retreat, and I can fully understand your wanting to see the retreats before submitting your winter adjustments.

Incidentally I don't have your adjustment orders right now. They may be waiting for me on ICQ, which I have at my home computer only. But there was no order there as of 10:00 EST.

I sent in those moves. could you cheack please. I may not have labeled them as fall moves. My sister as i said screwed the computer up and it was just yesterday i was able to get aol. I did send in those moves, im sure of it. By the way the retreat would be unaffected by this anyway, but I have to rethink my diplomatic options availble for my retreat. Boshko. Please email me I need to talk to you. Besides, think about it. If i was going to cheat and take advantage of seeing the moves, dont you think i would have attack Rum and ignored supporting SEv. Hacksaw. Send me your retreat NOW. I'm not granting you any more time for your diplomatic options. The deadline for retreats has passed. Terchnically there isn't supposed to be negotiation during retreats, but it's unenforceable anyway. The point here is that I need your retreat now.

I'm not accusing you of trying to cheat. But I cannot accept your orders after you've seen everyone else's moves. The deadline for moves was THURSDAY. The adjucation has been done. I don't have your orders. I checked several times. I'm sorry. As I mentioned before. I confirm all orders that I received. if you haven't received a confirmation from me and you are worried about my not receiving them, then you need to contact me or post a message to the thread before the deadline.

I'm sorry Hacksaw, but I have to stand firm on this. If you wish I'lll put the issue to a vote of the table. But it will have to be unanimous in your favor to sway my opinion.

Well, since you gave me the option, yes i would like a vote if you dont mind. Im still trying to fix the comp, thats why its taking me so long. That and my sister is in and out of the hospital ( she fell and hurt her ankle), I have my job, i have summer school, and i have trying to help and elderly couple by fixing their place up since they cant do it themselves or pay to get someone else to do it. Im not trying to get sympathy, im just telling you why i havent replied yet.

Ruffhaus can't allow your most recent changes, they are past the dealine and it is not fair to the other players, especially those directly involved with your country. This is a tournament game where the rules have to be followed, strictly.

We all have RL responsibilities and committments, that is why when you have a chance like you just did to post, you should have used that time to send in your preliminaries so there is no NMR. Good Luck!

The maps I found in your emails were wrong, so I was waiting for a correct one before sending move orders. I strongly regret that you did not change the DL, given that some players alrzeady complaied about the map (and, consequently, the rather-not-clear situation of units).

I just sent in my orders. Given that until now, I always sent in prelims' on the spot of receiving your previous season's "results email", you have to admit that something was "wrong in the kingdom of Dänemark".

In those conditions, having 4 players "NMR" is not that surprising. I was, as the other three I gusess, waiting for a "fixed" results' email and map, and then only would I have considered sending move orders for Spring (and before the DL).

If you kept the DL on Friday 23:59 despite those facts, then I strongly disagree. The lack of orders from me doesn't mean I'm NMR, it means I did not receive an accurate "end-of-season" situation permitting to write down move orders. That's all I had to say.

I hope you'll extend the DL until tomorrow Monday. BTW, the link above, to the "correct map", is broken AFAIY

Okay, enough of this bollocks! You bastards get your damn orders in on time and we won't have any of these problems. Since people here are so damn appreciative of how much fu(king time I've spent on this game this week, and all the leniancy I've shown, you can all buggger off. From now on there will be no grace period, and no exceptions for technical difficulties, nothing. I tried to be reasonable about this but everyone wants to bjtch and moan at me publically and privately. Well guess what ****ers, I have other crap to do besides chasing you a$$wipes around for your orders all week. So screw you all. Get your orders in on time and there will be no more problems.

* If you think there is a problem with the map it is YOUR responsibility to mention it immediately

C'mon you guys, we are trying to make this a suitable site for others to want to join and participate in, it should never to come to a GM responding to a thread in this form. He is only GM'ing the game not the babysitter, the moves are due when he says and if there not in, they are not in, no excuses. Most of you guys have played in the World Tournament and how often do you get leniency, they don't know the word.

This is your game, Ruffhaus only Manages it, make it fun for yourselfs and it starts by following the rules and that starts with common decency.

I am sure they all appreciate the work you are doing for us. Sometimes, what people write might not necessarily sound the way they thought it, or meant it to sound. Especially when english is not your native language, it happens quit often that you miss the right tone without realizing it. Donīt be upset, I am sure nobody wanted to critize you. You are the most active and reliable GM around here, we all know it, so donīt worry, we are thankful. I think you should read those comments more as a "why-I-made-a-mistake" and not so much as a "hey-you-made-a-mistake"

Ruffhaus, you don't need to be so defensive. There have been times in the last turn when you could've made a bad situation, which wasn't your fault, a little bit easier for all of us to deal with. The simple facts of the matter were:
-There was an accurate map for only two days before the moves were due; as you say with real lives, that makes things hella difficult for us.
-There was no time for delibberation between posting retreats and posting builds, which would've been helpful.

I told you these things inprivate, because they're things that shouldn't happen. Just because we mention things that aren't going too smoothly isn't a personal attack upon you, it's a statement about how the game could be made easier for all of us. You don't need to go berserk for that.

Please, strictly enforce the deadline (I expect no less), as long as it is a reasonable deadline in view of the hullabaloo that went on before
