That's funny - i don't remember gloating, but i can if you want You must be paranoid, Jon, because i didn't even think about gloating
You know what the funniest thing about beating the puddy-tats at rugby is?
It is our fourth most popular code of football played in Australia!! i.e. Aussie Rules, followed by Rugby League, Soccer, then Rugby Union. Well, you can still beat us at soccer, and perhaps at rugby league if we put too many Queenslanders in it
And i won't even mention cricket, tennis, olympics, blah, blah, blah. Gee, we even flogged you at something called croquet the other day

The last Australian troops have left Roman territory, as have Roman troops from Australian soil, so we will accept a peace treaty from Rome. If one is not forthcoming this turn, we will offer one in return.
As for the request for resumption of diplomatic ties with Australia, a visit by a Roman diplomat is welcome under the conditions that a peace treaty be ratified first, and that the diplomatic visits be reciprocal.
Australia is now enjoying relative peace in what amounts to a rejuvination in the sciences and the arts. The world's first recycling plant is hoped to lead the world into a new era of environmental responsibility which we expect other countries to follow. It appears that our efforts as environmental enforcers in conquering Indian and Dutch cities which were the main culprits have had the desired effect on the Romans, which seem to be keeping their pollution to managable levels. However, pollution is still creeping up, so we need a concerted effort to reduce the dangers. Thankfully, peace with Rome will allow us to concentrate more on these problems.
The Australian people are happy with the building of universities and academies, and marvel at the invention of the television, which is hoped to become in widespread use in the near future. These are indeed golden times

A strange thing happened on the battlefield today
An Australian division attacking an Indian city was left impotent mid-fight!! Yes, mid-way through a long and bloody fight with the Indians, the battle stopped with neither side any longer able to attack, having being left paralysed by an unknown force! An assortment of modern and medieval Indian units and Australian Fascists had already perished before the remaining artillery on both sides, along with mobile SAMs, tanks and other assorted units were left facing off each other, unable to use their weapons!
Unable to continue, the Australian troops called off the attack, only to find the survivors suddenly disappear into thin air!!
At first, Australian military command thought it was a new secret weapon commanded by the Indians! The question left unresolved, a backup division of Australian tanks made a full-on assault on the city, only to find that some Indians had also disappeared, with the number of defenders having dwindled between the first and second wave of attacks!
Fortunately, the second attack finished the job, securing the city from Indian rule once and for all. The closest explanation to the whole affair was given that the battle had gone "off-earth" - into..... THE DARK SIDE!!! Has anyone else had this problem? (for those who didn't catch on - the battle screen stopped before one side was wiped out. When i closed the screen, my units disappeared, but the battle seemed to have been resolved by the AI without me getting to see it. I'll just put it down to another Craptivision bug )
I wonder if Mobius got this problem if he played this turn, too? Anyway, i don't know if Mobius played my turn for me, but either way, Stavros has it now. Turn 199 to Stavros 10 hours ago.
