Full PM-box? Change here!

Actually it could be accomplished quite easily here.

1. We need a header line for every post, but since there's already the "subject" line, and all new threads need subjects, a little JavaScript code can be used to generate "Re: subject" and "Re: Re: subject" etc.

2. Add a threading mechanism to the database. I think one field will do.

3. Create a template for the format.

I am a fan of the branching thread format in hwo it has been used on Slashdot and different news sites. I do not believe that it would be practical here on Apolyton.

There are not enough posters to justify the use of such a format. Also, I believe branching threads work best when the thread is discussing a news item or what is provided on that page. uBB/vBB work best when their is a forum page that allows everyone to discuss topics that you can create.

Imagine using uBB on Slashdot. It wouldn't work as a new topic would have to be created on a linked page from the news page. Likewise, here on Apolyton branched threads would not work because it would be hard to find new topics among all of the replies and posts.

In summary, GP I support your mission, I just don't think you will win concession nor do I even think it would even work.

Oooh now I'm mad

1) Its a wombat
2) Its a dagger

It is a wombat, I took the graphic from an australian search engine called wombat search or something. It is a dagger to signify that the wombat is the immortal wombat. Didn't you watch the cartoon?
A wombat, visits a wise-woman, is told he is immortal, then with the help of his marsupial friends, battles russian zombies to avenge his father's death, then finally defeats the evil Welsh emperor Zhu Kiang-che in a great showdown. Later on, his mission accomplished, he dies, but its only funny if you watch the cartoon. Which I'm in the process of making.

Never insult the Immortal Wombat again, please

Not a plot-twist I had planned, though I suppose I could incorporate his band, the hamlet lads or something.
and I admit I drew the picture rather quickly... If anyone has any better cartoon pictures of fat comedy Chinese-looking emperors, please let me know

Reread. "In any formal system capable of supporting the Peano axioms" is in reference to any reasonable form of number theory, the branch of mathematics which deals with the natural number system. "there exist unprovable statements whose contradictions are also unprovable" means that I can come up with a proposition which can't be proven to be true, but which can't be proven to be false, either. So, it is possible to find a statement about the natural numbers which can't be proven true and which can't be proven false either. And Godel proved that this was the case in 1935 or so.
