	Dominion War keeps crashing on me! Put an end to popups!

I`ve reached turn 29 of kobayashi`s Dominion War scenario, but during the AI moves, Civ2 crashes and I can`t play on any further. Maybe someone here knows what`s going on. So far, I`ve:

- Found the Emmisary`s Orb
- Destroyed both of the Chintoka energy bases
- Recaptured Bajor

...but then the game crashes. I don`t understand what`s going on. Maybe it`s my computer, so I`ve attached the save file so that other people can try it.

If anyone knows anything, do tell me, because I want to know what I`ve done wrong.

I'm Sorry to hear about your problem. I downloaded your save game (should have mentioned that it was a MGE saved game) and tried it. I can duplicate your crash even though I have played STDW several times on the same system without crashing.

As to why it crashes, I don't know. There is only one recorded similar incident that I know of which is here:

As far as I know, nobody ever discovered the cause. What I do know from the previous incident is that it will always crash at the same point in time even if you start again.

My premise is that the individual computer generates at the beginning the thing which crashes the game later on and this is caputred in the sav file. The best solution I can think of (no guarantees) is to start the scenario on someone elses computer and save the game. Then transfer the file and continue to play on your own PC.

By the way Paul,

To make up for your problem, would you like to the first person on Earth to play(test) Kobayashi's Star Wars-Insurrection? It is quite bug-free at this stage and I am looking more for comments on how the release version can be better.

p.s. you will need a mailbox which can accept around 2.8 Megs

Thanks for the offer, but to be honest, I`m a pretty lousy playtester (I`d forget to give you any feedback) so I`ll have to pass you up on that one, I`m afraid.

at the moment its looking good kobayashi im the 2nd imp and im kicking ass is it possible to negotiate with the rebels? because they kinda beat me up a little and i want to stop them hehe but shaping up good im not far in so ill give you more feedback as i get further in

So do you have all three zips now?

I found the New Republic is hardest to play wuile the Second Imperium is the Easiest. Hope you will eventually play all three and let me know the diff.

p.s. the navbttle.wav filename is mis-spelled as navbatle or something so the default sound is used. Just rename the file in windows to fix the problem.
