I'm curious--how long does each game take, on average?

Playing for AC no more than 6 hours on large map, closer to 4 on a small map. Bloodlust about 16-20 hours on a large map, between 1 & 8 on a small map depending if I want to wait for advanced weapons.

Wow! 220 hours! I'm amazed that you can stick with a single game for that long. Is this SP or MP? Is it mainly that long because you have so many units over such a large area that it just takes that long? I don't usually have more than 30 minutes to an hour at a time to play, and I'm beginning to wonder if one can effectively play Civ2 like that.

From 1-12 hours. I've never had a game last any longer than 30 hours...all Deity, Raging Hordes, any kind of play.
I can't even imagine playing for much longer...100 hours? Ick.

some games i give up after a few turns, if i have a crap environment, like mountains and jungle and swamp altogether (grr)
but, games i am interested in i keep playing and keep playing, until i have built cities everywhere (and then i have tons of them, i'm quite an expansionist really, lotsa cities in the beginning, and keep growing afterwards...)
and well, i usually have war with everybody but then i take a city or 2, and then peace again, etc etc, makes it easy for me, never really have to have a mighty army.. these games take a long time, months, though i play other games in between...so..depends on who i want to play that day..
