ToT scenario title pics Full PM-box? Change here!

We all know that ToT uses 16/24 bit gfx. But it seems that the scn title pics have to be 8 bit gifs, as in Civ2, or is there a way to use 24bit bmps also for ToT scns?

My efforts at using 24 bit bmps have resulted in crashing ToT.
