	What SE would you like to live in? Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

Ive seen lots of people talk about what faction they'd like to live in, but what about SE settings?

Im such a computer geek i think id have to go with the cyborgs running democracy/FM/knowledge/cybernetic.

Maybe living in the lap of luxury as a Morganite in a democracy/FM/Wealth eudiamonic?

Then again, the utopian idealism of a Free Drone democracy/planned/wealth/eudiamonia has its own appeal?

I'm up for a nerdish Democratic/Free/Knwoledge/Eudaimonic with University. Í'd really hate Yang or Miriam with Police/Planned/Power/Thought ctrl. yuch.

I would go for a Police State/Green/Knowledge/Eudaimonia state.
Maybe University...?

Police State for the security... Im a securityguard myself...
But no gestapo stuff...

Politics: Most probably democracy, for all the freedoms. Could live in a police state, too, if it's carried out properly (i.e. fair judgements, high freedom. Privacy isn't so much of an issue for me)

Economy: Green. On a place like the Planet I wouldn't like the society to pollute , so no planned and even less FM.

Value: Knowledge. Just my nature.

Future society: Eudaimonia or Cybernetic. Eudaimonia is said to make me happy, but cybernetic would also have its good sides. Even thought control would suffice, as I wouldn't notice it anyway .

So, the ideal would be: Demo/Green/Knowledge/Eudaimonia. Faction being Consciousness (#1!), University or Gaians.

Most of the factions are completely abhorrent to me. I'd probably have to say Gaians, with Democracy. I don't believe in democracy 100%, but I would definitely prefer it to Fundamentalism and possibly Police State. (Although security is good, and I think people have too much freedom...remind me to get back to that.)

Economics: definitely Green. People talk about "the environment" in the same way as they talk about "the chair" or "the house", but it's far deeper than that: if the environment is screwed, everything's screwed, since the environment IS everything.

Values would have to be Knowledge. I'm an engineer, and we live on knowledge.

Future Society I can't decide. Cybernetic would be pretty cool, but I don't like the Internet as it is, and you can imagine how much worse it would be in a Cybernetic society. Thought Control has many advantages, one being no anarchist riots and another being security in general. Just as long as they don't touch the parts of your brain that allow creativity (I love literature, music, and theater). Eudaimonia is definitely out. I can't stomach that dripping, sighing "society grows more tolerant and just" stuff. It wouldn't work anyway, because eventually you'd run into a society that didn't share your ideals.
