	ACS new info on Civ3 is? Enter the AD-FREE zone

Currently ACS is holding some information from FIRAXIS that is to be released soon. Somebody already presented a guess what it could be and from that I got this idea...

1.) What news would be really, and I mean really, positive for you?
2.) What do you think FIRAXIS has told ACS to be released soon?

We now have a short timeperiod to give our hopes and guesses before MarkG releases the info. Now let's have some fun while waiting for it. (Or do you have any better ideas how to spend this time? )


P.S. What happenend here during past 24h or so???

1) Really good news to me:

• Any info from FIRAXIS on planned releasemonth (Or that it's a 2002 release )
  
• Any info on BETA-testing
  
• Most of the info given is about early game in Civ3, I would like to hear from endgame more... (Are there any colonies in endgame?, War-cities-refugees?, spying, etc.)
  
• That the map-pictures sofar seen are Betas and FIRAXIS is just doing the final MAP.
  

OK. There are more good things, but these are on the top ofmy wishlist right now...

2) What has ACS got from FIRAXIS?
Well some screensots is a good guess. (A picture with stacked units would be nice ) What else could it be? An Interview with some FIRAXIS member - that would be nice but I'm pessimistic on this one. What more?

Do you have good ideas?

*Difinitive answer as to what civs are in the game. (or even an answer as to how many civs are in... OR they could at least settle the Mongol/Japanese debate that rages in another thread by telling us who is in that controversial screenshot).

*Winning conditions: what they are and what they mean.

*An official release date annnouncement. (as you said)

2)What I think it actually is:

*Official Civ3 site going up.
*Screenshots are a good guess.
*Some ambigous info-bit that will fuel our discussions here at Apolyton.

I still say it won't be out until February 2002.

In one of Yin26 thread about the graphical qualities of CivIII, MarkG says that all the current screens we have seen so far come from an Alpha version.

If he knows that, then it might be that he will get some Beta screen version today.

I hope they are good enough to settle this graphical matter entirely

Unless the Jeff Morris interview has been under wraps for weeks, it confirms that they are still in alpha but don't plan to change much in the graphics in beta
