I'm having problems, can anyone help?
I will start at the beginning:
Playing ctp has always been fun with me. Many 'civers' put down ctp when compared with civ2, but I like both games and used to interchange with both.(until I lost my civ2 disc) But I have to admit the AI in civ2 is better, that is why I turned to ctp multiplayer.
But as some will know I have only recently begun playing ctp multiplayer on the net, this really adds a new dimension to the game. I also learnt new tactics from the experience, but to use the tactics on a normal ctp game would be futile 'cos it is so easy. So I decided to download the Wes W's medmod, and practice at the more difficult version. I had not downloaded it whilst in Thailand (where I am now) because it gave me lots of problems when I downloaded it in England. I should have learnt my lesson.
Why is it so easy to to use medmod with ctp2, dowloading is easy, so is playing with the modswapper, so why is there no modswapper for ctp. Is ctp too unpopular to bother with?
I now cannot play any game (except ctp2, which sucks, really ****ty AI). For example, I can start a game of ctp, but as soon as my first warrior is about to be produced the game disappears and I am told I have an invalid page fault. (similar thing in CM00/01)
Now should I just wipe out all my games and reload, or does anyone have a solution????????????
Blackice, you once mentioned a patch that would enable me to play without having to use the disc every time, where can I find it?
I am still pondering whether I should have a rated game. I mean I am already in the top 5 and I have not played yet, maybe I like it like that. LoL Maybe you are all just too scared!!!
Well it's time to get back to my rum and coke. This Sat seems okay, so long as I get some more connection hours. But it seems that most already have games to go for. Anyway I will be there 9pm Thai time.
