Am I the only one who is now receiving the 'page cannot be displayed' message instead of the 'page cannot be accessed' message, when going to the civ3.com site?

Yes.

I have been getting "Directory Listing Denied," which means:

1. The domain name is actually a directory on the Firaxis server. At least that part is working.

2. It doesn't have a file called index.htm (or index.html) in the directory, so the http server at the Firaxis box tries to list the contents of the directory

3. It can't list the contents

however, try using explorer 3.0 or some older browser. you'll get the virtual directory thingie....

i'm using ie 6.0 beta and i have been getting

i first noticed getting this message on thursday night

as to when the page will be up, if firaxis is running the civ3.com servers then at the earliest it probably won't be up till about 8am EST (it is currently 3:52am EST why in the hell am i not in bed yet?!)

so the times for it most likely to come online is 9am EST, 12am EST, or 3pm EST (that is when most major announcements are held in the US)...or whenever dan decides to stop torturing us

as for the day...who knows but it will probably be this week

i actually thought that you already had the birthday chat...and yea i do read the about section but only on the pulldown bar...basically i'm just in the civ3 forums...apolyton generates so much news that things like that get quickly pushed down, in the list and people like me can sometimes miss it

and plus everytime you say "chat" i automatically assume it's with the firaxis staff
