Where the hell is Maestro? I haven't seen any posts lately. Is he still around? I want to start the semi-finals shortly, so i need all of the round 2 games finished.

Maestro, why the in a sentence containing my name??

I sent turn 76 to Nukeboy on Tuesday, July 31, 2001 10:54 AM.

After nothing happened, I sent the same turn AGAIN on Wednesday, August 8, 2001 9:31 PM. You know that because I emailed you that I had done so....

This game has stalled so many times that I finally gave up caring after that.

You blokes couldn't organise a root in a brothel!

Nuke Boy e-mails me asking whatever happened to LM4.2 (after i asked him to take over Arthur in 1.2, forgetting that he was already playing in the tournament ), while you guys throw barbs at each other claiming that someone else has the turn!

I suggest that all of you e-mail both other players whenever you play your turn, and direct your barbs at each other inside the game

BTW, Rick, i think the was directed at me, but hey, i'm not offended! When you're as arrogant and condescending in pbem as i am, you learn to cop it sweet

So, who exactly has the turn??

Hang on! Exactly what turn are you guys up to?

Of course, it would help if i knew who plays the first turn! Am i right in assuming that Nuke Boy is the last player? That would mean that his turn 76 creates Maestro's turn 77, and everything should be alright. If not, then Rick or Maestro must have the following player's turn 77!?

I'm confuuuuused!! If this keeps up, then i may have been right about that brothel jibe after all At the very least, it looks as though the Lung-god is not in control of the situation!

So, Maestro, for your slow-on-the-uptake Lung-god, did you receive turn 76 or 77? You're still waiting for turn 77, so i presume that you received turn 76 from Nuke Boy!?!

Nukie e-mailed me claiming that he needed turn 77, but that would give you turn 78! My head hurts!!

I don't get it. How is Nuke Boy playing turn 76 if you are receiving turn 76 when he plays last? Unless he is sending turn 75, which i have repeatedly insisted that he doesn't, then something is very wrong!

Are you guys finished having fun watching Lung chase his tail?

Allow me to take a shot at clarifying things (an example of the blind leading the blind?)

1) I sent turn 76 to Nukeboy once upon a time.

2) Time went by, the world turned many times, and I sent it again.

3) So Nukeboy has Turn 76. he needs to play it, and that will create Turn 77, which he should then send to Maestro. Maestro was first to play in this game, so turns change number for him. He then sends Turn 77 to me. Nukeboy cannot receive Turn 77 until I have received it from Maestro, and send it to him. (Whew! I need a nap after all that)

May this attempt to put things in order please the Lung-god!

It seems that the intuition of Rick is correct! I thought that Nukie had claimed to play turn 76, but alas, i couldn not find the evidence However, after careful analysis of Nukie's ambiguous messages (or does that simply mean that i'm too dumb to understand? ), it would seem that he only has turn 75.

Seeing as Rick has diligently deleted turn 76 already ( ), it seems that for this game to proceed, Maestro needs to once again send turn 76 to Rick.

So, after all that, it seems that we're back where we started from! Despite Maestro sending turn 76 to Rick at least once, and Rick sending turn 76 to Nukie at least twice, it will need to be re-sent to Nuke Boy again

Look on the bright side you guys, now you get to play the turn all over again!!

Put your hands down, Nukie. Rick deleted the turn, so is now waiting for Meastro to re-send turn 76 to him, so he can play it and forward turn 76 to you. Then you can play turn 76 and send turn 77 to Maestro.

Hey! You blokes are moving faster than the eye can see! I guess i was just paranoid after the long turn drought. Anyway, if you're e-mailing each other when you play your turns instead of posting, that's fine

Well, Rick will be back in a week or so, so you may as well just sit tight and wait.

BTW, can anyone send me an update? I can use it on the website at http://www.users.bigpond.com/lungthetrue/lungmatch.htm, which is in desperate need of an update. I need the current rankings and perhaps even largest cities, or any other info you care to impart. Also, any little stories you can think up from the game, anecdotes, or simply the current state of affairs/wars, etc would be greatly appreciated

Who knows, i might even ressurrect Lungnews!, the newsletter that started and finished even before groups three and four! (from memory, at least)
