	What's with the Apolyton chat feature? Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

I went to the birthday chat and put my name in to log on. Well, it told me name was being used, but it wasn't, let me in and gave me sixty seconds to pick another name, but didn't tell me how that I saw. So I ended up being called Guest#%^&* or whatever, and eventually gave up and left.

It did't do that in the past, what's up, anyone know?

Actually, I tried logging on as KrazyHorse, and it said that name was already taken, so in the bottom where it says /nick I typed "KrazyHoarse", and it let me in as that. Guess who was already there when I entered as KrazyHoarse? That's right: KrazyHorse. I don't know what's up with that.

the apolyton chatroom is now located on dalnet. . which is a LARGE irc server. especially for a name like "lancer" there's probably already someone that has the name.

dalnet works like so. . if you like a name, and want to keep it you can "register" it on dalnet. this prevents anyone else from using that nickname. So, lancer, someone probably already has registered the name lancer on the dalnet service. there's really no way around this, just find a variation to it or something.

krazy: not sure what exactly happened in your case. . either someone was imitating you, or some bug with the java chat window happened putting a ghost name "krazyhorse" in the room.

I liked the old chat room better. I could actually access that. And none of this name sh/t either.

You have to understand - I have no knowledge of irc whatsoever. I don't want it either. Java chat!!! How I loved you so!

the old chatroom was also IRC, it was just on a different (much smaller) network.
