Sadly not, I'm travelling australia at the moment, I've been working in Sydney for the past 6 months or so. I just started a new job, with an net connection at work, thought I would drop by to see whats up. I would dearly dearly love just one epic game, but I lack all and any computing facilities. Just try to hold me back when I get back to england though.

What is the civ2 mp scene like these days? Much action?

its dieing. Although there are a LOT of german players on the german civ2 site. Seems the game is really taking off in europe and more and more people get connected to the net. Thier chat room is like what the zone was a few months back. everyone is waiting for the october release of civ3.... And me for the Moo3 release as well

Guess I had expected that the scene would shrink during my prolonged abscense, shame really, but I can hardly complain being that I no longer play. I am well aware that civ3 is on its way, I got the email notice and ran to civ3.com as did the rest of you. I won't be there at the start as I'll be travelling somewhere in Oz or NZ by then, but try and stop me goddamn it when I am back in front of my own humble Pentium 166.

Doesn't look like I will be able to do any ICQing neither. Sigh. Haven't actually seen all that much of Oz yet, been working mostly. Seen pretty much everything to see in Sydney.
Speaking of which, what happened to all the multiplaying aussie's I used to chase around?
Looks like you guys will get a big head start on me with civ3 too, I won't be back in england until febuart/march by the looks of things. This time next year, old friend, we shall see who will call who master. You can wear the leather like usual though.

Yes, we are still travelling together. Interesting timing actually - we are going through our first 'rough patch' as we speak. We've been together a year or so now, and the past 7 months we've been sharing the same 4ft. by 4ft. bedroom. The pressure of living in such close quaters is getting us both stressed. She is still indeed the lady of my dreams, but things are difficult at the moment. More sighing.
