	Should OT have a Euro mod? Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

There is a time on here when everybody is asleep and the place goes unmoderrated. Also, we have a very high Euro population here.

Although you will notice one of the owners of the site is based in greece, and some mods in other on topic forums are based in Europe. In terms of putting someone in the right time slot, I'd go for one of the mainlanders, preferably from the German/Austrian/Benelux area.

I would say Provost Harrison and Colon would be good choices, as they represent the younger generation as well.

However, Roland would also be a good choice, because instead of "CASE CLOSED," we'd get something like:

"34% of posters in the thread were banned, as this correlates with the recent Bundesrepublik survey which showed a 5 point increase in GDP during peak winter nights, with a +.04 standard deviation favoring Thursdays, leading to a net bannable atmosphere. This number was adjusted for inflation, of course."

I think I should be the Mod for the Euros. I am on that late anyway and I am senstitive to the needs of the average European poster.

Besides, it's more fun to hear the Euros complain how the US dominates the boards, the same way it dominates their everyday lives.

If you did have a Euro-mod, it would have to be Laz, as he is sensitive to the transvestite population.

That's true but I never really see MarkG around here much. I think maybe he'd prefer to have the mods take care of this area so he can do other stuff.

Although what do I know, I've been gone for most of the year.

I picked "other". I think it would be nice to have the Euros/Aussies/Others represented by one of their own. But it has to be someone from a country with a sense of humor...so that rules out the Germanics and English.

Probably someone from Oz, but, unfortunately, the available candidates would wreak havoc and the one who wouldn't would never do it, as he's working on a remake of "Love Boat".

Laz could be counted on to be fair and aloof...but he would post too much barnyard porn.

The rolleye was for many reasons...
First, this isn't a Democracy, and decisions on mods are made TOTALLY by the admin.
Second, it really is a Apolyton discussion, and not a OTF discussion.
And Third, I hated moving it to the Apolyton Forum, because now all the spammers will add to their post count

Oh... and my opinion. Just by looking at the levels of traffic during the day, it really isn't needed. MarkG is more than able to solve any problems that come up

Well, I am flattered by this, but I don't think I would like the task of OT moderation. I get along with a lot of people and having to take these harsh, unpopular decisions would put me in a moral dilemma, so I don't think I would take the job personally. I would like to continue posting in the off-topic as I do now without having to bite my tongue and be a ref, effectively.

However I did say that I have no objection to moderating Civ3 forums. I can handle the gaming forums, and have had a good chunk of experience at this from CGN, where I was a trusted on-topic mod. I would quite enjoy keeping an eye over these, where the ebb-and-flow is a little easier going...
