Civ2 Map Format Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

I am currently programming a map generator for an open source civ like (Evolution : http://evolutionlejeu.free.fr). But this game isn't close to be realeased. So I would like to test this generator by creating civ2 maps.
So does anyone know what is the format of civ2 maps in order to generate it ? I know some people have programmed some map utilities which create or convert civ2 maps, so theymust know something about it...

Support Apolyton

Several people have made map tools. They typically browse the Hosted Site - Scenario League forum. Try posting there. I don't have his web address on hand, but send Mercator a personal message. I've used his Map Editor, and it works well. He could probably answer your question.
