	Multiplayer Server Woes..... Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

I am playing CTP2 on the East Coast of the US. My ISP is a cable modem and does not use PPPOE. I recently re-installed CTP 2 when I was preparing to upgrade with the Apolyton pack. When I first installed it, I only had one server on my Server list. Somehow, later there were many more. I could never log on to the activision site named us1.alink.activison.com. However, when the other servers showed up, I was able to play on them with no problems. Now that I have recently re-installed the game, I no longer get any of the other servers, just the one activison site that I can't use. Has anyone else experienced this or know how I get access to the other servers again? The people I play in the area can still get on the other servers and I have not changed ISPs. Please help!

The way the server set-up works is Activision includes the addresses of three activision servers in the anet file.v When you first connect to the server, the addresses to all the other servers are sent to you. The problem revolves around the initial connection system. many players cannot get that initial connect to download the info for the other servers. Having found this out we have good servers.dat files which have the info. I have one available for download at:

Place this in the folder: Activision/Civillization-Call To Power/ctp_program/ctp

Thank you! Your fix was dead on. I still don't have all the same servers, but at least I can play! Activision told me it was because servers went up and down and I should just keep checking back. I will make a note of your e-mail and send it to them. Thanks again.

hello, i have the same problem as JN, but i tryed the solution given by Swissy ( THANK U FOR UR ATENTION), and it didnt work,
if anyone know anything i can do to solve my problem, pls post here, i believe some others can have the same trouble...

I just can see the us1.activision.com server and i cant join it,

I want to thank activision support custommer for the solution found for my case, and those who tried to help me ( swissy thanx),

I wrote an email to activision on sunday 19(august) , on monday20(august) they answered, and gave me a solution, so if u have the same problem as i had, send activision an email they will answer and get a solution,
