perhaps, but does it really matter that much to talk about it again and again? does it really affect the quality of the feature when it will have reached it's 10th or 20th "issue"? | Hmm, when it gets that far, I suppose not.
As for talking about it, isn't that what we do about everything?
Like all new things, we always want to talk about them, I suppose.
Now for some diplomacy.
quote: I actually volunteer out to do something, while I could easily just sit around the forums and post anything, without helping Markos and adding something new. | Doesn't that go along with with your admin/mod status?
Or do you just like the way it looks in the location field?
When you pick up the mantle, you pick up the load.
If Mark wants help, all he has to do is ask, plenty of people here would pitch in.
quote: I think that if you don't volunteer to anything, you shouldn't criticize others much. I would be happy if any of you made an interview with some civer, and I'm going to see if anybody else can do it on a regular basis. Sure, many can, but noone before me did it . | You seem unaware as to the nature of these boards.
To post ANYTHING is to invite criticism, for good or ill.
As for interviewing people, I'm NOT a mod or admin here, just a poster, so it doesn't fall within my perview as a poster to undertake such a task for Apolyton. One thing there is no shortage of at apolyton is people who like to talk, so rounding up people to interview should NEVER be a problem. Look how quickly Laz rose to the challenge of interviewing AH!
I'm sure if you put out the request, people would certainly voluteer their time and effort to this project.
quote: I'll keep diplomatic responses for the time they are needed. | I don't think your answers are undiplomatic, just a tad impertinent.

I'd like to tell you how much time I spend on an interview. First, I need some good time to compile the question list This is where I need volunteers, BTW, for giving me questions. This includes learning about the person, and etc.
Then, after I receive answers, I read it for the first time. For the second time, I edit it as I read. For the third time, I read it with my edits, and only then am usually ready. Sometimes I need a second email to the interviewee.
Making one interview isn't an hour or two, it's more than that.
GP, I do actually consider I do quite a good job at these interviews. No, not excellent, for sure, but just good.
Also, let me point out that you have seen 2 interviews. Markos has seen 4. I have seen, more or less, 6. I just want to state you're not, yet, in a very good position to judge, though I believe after FoA 10 or so, everyobdy will be in a good postion to make the judgement.
