Apolyton's Rules for TradeWars
The following are rules that all Apolyton TradeWars players are expected to adhere to. Punishment for violation of these rules will be determined by the other players and/or the Sysop/Game Admin and become effective as soon as a consensus is reached (probably a poll in the TradeWars Forum will be taken with a variety of options for punishment - the one with the most votes is implemented). You have the right to dispute the decision and present any evidence that you have concerning the matter (once again, in the forums).
1) All players must register in the pre-game registration thread (this one  ).
2) No dupes (DL - Dual Login) of any kind. Player's IPs will be logged by the Server, and if you have a dynamic IP your IP address won't range that far off. Any evidence of duping will be punished after an investigation. If you have more than one person playing the game using the same IP (If you live in the same home or in close vicinity of each other) you can contact the appropriate admin (ask who in the forums) concerning that issue.
3) The use of "bugs" (software flaws and glitches - for U.R.  ) of Any kind is strictly prohibited in the game. If you are found using a bug your account will be terminated  immediately.
4) Spamming players on Fed Comm with the intention of harassing other players or slowing the server down, or in any way taking away the 'fun' of playing turns from the other players will not be allowed.
5) You are to log on only to the one account you have created. You may not log on as anyone other than your character. Violation of this will result in deletion of both accounts in question.
6) Harassment  of any kind regarding race, sex, or religion will not be tolerated. Cussing is allowed, but if a formal complaint is lodged by a player, then that player's wishes must be respected and no more cussing around that player will be tolerated for the rest of the game. In the event of a dispute as to what constitutes harassment, a vote can be taken among Apolyton players. Majority vote will decide whether something is appropriate or not.
7) Naming ships or planets anything derogatory along the lines of rule 6 will result in a warning and the Game Admin/Sysop may change the name. A second offense will result in a stronger form of punishment which is left to the other players and/or the Sysop/Game Admin's discretion.
8) No Corp breaking into or Corp backstabbing. If you decide that you wish to play as part of a team (Corp), you must abide by this decision, and that doesn't mean giving away your sector or taking your Corp planets and making them personal. If you are found guilty of this, you will be removed from the game immediately  and your name will be posted as a backstabber. Therefore you can feel free to play with anyone you don't know because this won't be tolerated.
9) This game is setup for the purpose of having fun, so please respect that and enjoy the game. In general if don't do anything that would make the game any less enjoyable to the other players.
10) "GrandFather clause" - This is not a complete list of rules. The list will remain open until we see something in a game that needs to be addressed  . You will be informed of any changes to these rules by a public announcement in the game and a listing in the EDITS section below.

Once the game has actually started, I'll post a copy of the game settings here, updating it occassionally as the numbers of things change.

I am intereste in joining Trade Wars... but probebly would need help get into the game :P haven't played Trade Wars in two years and last time was on an actual BBS, before i got the net.
