"Mick, you don't understand. Eire needs you!" said Eamon DeValera, MP from Dublin.
"Eamon, I know, but c'mon man. What you're asking me to do is ridiculous, I've been this far due to my loyalty. I can't just turn on it like that, its hypocrasy." said Michael.
"Mick, do you believe in Eireann?" he asked, Eireann is native Celtic for Ireland.
"Eamon you know I do, but I also believe in the Union. You're asking me to do this, and you're going to brand me a traitor either way, that's what you're doing to me." he replied.
"That can't happen Mick, I'm your friend. I wouldn't do that to you, that's why I'm coming to you before you have to make a public decision." Eamon said "The seperatist movement is going to be huge, Ireland can't afford to let these foreigners rule us."
"Eamon, its chaning. DeGaulle is going to be PM now, it won't be the same. Italians don't dominate anymore, I really can't afford to join your movement, it will just ruin everything." he said shaking his head.
"Jesus Mick, you sound like a f*cking automoton, can't you think for yourself?!?!" Eamon barked.
"You don't know what I've been through Emmy, you don't f*cking know, you haven't the slightest idea. You sit here in your stupid office with your retarded harp on the wall and talk about a free Ireland. Guess what? You are free!" he yelled "I ran around in ten feet of Russian snow, I saw people mutilated, struggling for breath to preserve this freedom you don't see. And you sit here in front of me and say that I can't think for myself?"
"Okay, Mick maybe I overreacted, but this is important to me."
"You're damn right you did, I was there Eamon. These people don't want to enslave us, believe me. Many people from all over Europe, Turks, French, even Italians stood next to me as brothers and were killed next to me for Dublin, for Eireann. I can't believe you, this movement is pathetic. Its a grab for power Eamon, I can't stand to see it!" Mick said.
"Mick, listen to me." Eamon said calmly. "I am very sorry you had to go through that, its a horrible thing, but that is skewing your vision here. But you have to understand my position, I love my country, I love it, I want it to provide for its own future."
"How are you going to do that? Europe is in total shambles, if Ireland were to seperate they'd send their entire army at you, I know its weak but its better than any IRA goons you're paying, then you'll know what its like to fight for your country." said Mick bluntly.
"Well alright, alright, I'll try and tone it down a bit more. By the way I hear you're going to run for MP in Uralsky?"
"Yes, I am. The people there are so respectful to me, they love me there, I am going to represent them." he said.
"Well that's wonderful, I hope you win."
"I'm running unopposed..."

The tall man visually cringed at the sounds of breaking furniture from the other side of the door, but the woman who stood guard there was impassive, so the man gave her his message and strode away as fast as propriety would allow. He didn't see the slight smile on the guard's face.
Moments later, there was an earsplitting scream from within the inner room, then all fell silent. The woman who had been standing guard silently counted twenty seconds, then opened the door and entered the office as if naught had passed.
"The Council awaits you in the Council Chamber" she announced coolly.
The room was a shambles but the woman at it's epicenter stood motionless, albeit she was breathing a little heavily. She was looking out the broken window over the streets of Timbuktu.
"I would hope no one was injured," she said, turning to her companion.
Her response was a slight smile. "I have known you long, Madame Chaka", she relpied. "When the courier came, I sent down a couple of Honor Guard to keep people off the sidewalks here."
"When the courier came? You knew what he carried then?" Chaka asked sharply.
The tall woman shrugged. "I always send down a couple whenever the courier comes. If the news is not bad, it does not hurt the citizens of Timbuktu to walk elsewhere a few moments."
Chaka threw back her head and laughed. "You never fail to amaze me, Kuuala." She smoothed her hair down, straightened her shoulders, and cocked an eyebrow at her longtime companion.
Kuuala bowed slightly. "You look fine" she answered the unspoken question, then after the slighest of hestiations asked "Is it that Hitler that upsets you so?"
Chaka gave an unladylike snort "That short bastard! You ever notice, Kuuala, how it's always the short men you have to watch out for? They're always overcompensating."
"Only when they're short where one cannot see," Kuuala answered her, and they both laughed.
"No, he constantly angers me, it's true. Now he thinks to push me and push me until he can goad me into war! Like he does not know where his Marines are stationed. And why else is there such a huge concentration of his rafiltzer in the Sudan? But, no -- he must make it seem to be aggression on my part because I defend my borders! Then he can run to his new allies sniffling how we are mean to him and hide behind the Australian apron. It is an old tack," she smiled slightly, "but I am not worried about that little man."
"You know you scare me when you smile like that, Chaka"
"What concerns me now, Kuuala, is this guano coming out of America, look at this!" She stuck a crumpled piece of newsprint out.
Kuuala smoothed it best she could and scanned it. "Ah, the old Indepedence for American Colonies movement again, eh? I thought we had figured out that was your old friend Hakeem who got away from the Senate so long ago. I am sorry my aim was not better."
"No, no, Hakeem died years ago. It's his dratted offspring, some pup named Rashid. Everytime the propaganda ministry finds and destroys one of his little printing operations, he just pops up somewhere else. Goddess knows who's bankrolling him -- his father certainly never recovered from having all his assets confiscated, and while that old creampuff Ari has supported them all for years, he doesn't have the kind of money that this takes. No, he has to have other backers. This is what bothers me."
"Perhaps it upsets them that there are so many FDP there now. Maybe if we send some reinforcements over there they will feel safer?"
Chaka smiled 'that smile' at her again. "My thought, exactly, Kuuala. And if there are extra Mali troops about that are loyal to the Motherland, well, then .. that ought to give these would-be rebels pause for thought, eh?"
"Killing two birds with one stone always saves on ammunition," Kuuala noted.
"Well, then, let us go and consult with the Council," Chaka said, and she strode from the room, calling back over her shoulder, "Oh, and Kuuala, you will see to having this place straightened up while I'm gone?"
"Maintenance is standing by," Kuuala replied, adding under her breath, "as always."

Or that's reason to stop war in 21st Century. I, as one of previous HOTW-er call for a peace solution for HOTW2. Sorry to interfere with your fun, but I'm in a deep sorrow that ... I don't know what to say, when I saw the empty street and smoking of WTC outside the window. BTW, anyone heard from Capo? Hope he is OK.

I would vote for continuing the game because I don’t think that anyone that is hit by any terrorist attack should change his or her daily lives. However I can understand those who wish to postpone and as long as one person wishes to postpone the game I will stick by them and will not play if they do not want to.

Sorry to all Muslims of American citizenship, but I am very angry.
Two of my friends Dimitrius and Jason (last names are not going to be given) worked in the Pentagon and died on Tuesday.
I was in the Capitol building visiting my old friends from my days working on the hill. You heard like a rumble but I didn't have a clue what it was, I didn't really even think about it, then you saw this huge plume of smoke billowing from the south.
Then there were cops running all over evacuating the members of congress, the staff and all visitors were told to leave the area. They said that there was a terrorist attack on the Pentagon and there was reason to believe one may come to the Capitol building. So we all rushed out, there was traffic everywhere after like an hour or more we finally got off the grounds and drove down to the Pentagon because I knew Jason and Dimitrius, and when we got there I couldn't find them.
Finally today I found out that they were missing, then their bodies were both recovered.
I decided to join the Marine Corps this morning. I can't sit here and live with myself knowing that I should defend my country. I doubt I'll be sent out to fight, depending on how long this goes on that is. It may sound very sadistic to you, but I can't wait for the day they send me out, and I'll mow down those f*ckers with a big smile on my face.
The world's about to see how bad ass this country is.
God bless America.

The construction of the new Aquaducts was going superbly well, DeGaulle was pleased as he visited the construction site. Secretary Alessi had done him well, he realized that his political stock was rising quickly, but couldn't help the thought of a Dove uprising in Parliament, the Hawk majority was so slim it was almost non-existant.
"Hello sir, everything is going well." Adriana smiled.
"I'm glad to hear it." said Prime Minister DeGaulle as he shook her hand "What else is in the works?"
"Well these Aquaducts aren't going to sustain a heavy population, we expect a huge boom in that area, thus we are going to require sewage systems to be installed as well. Not to mention libraries, harbors, and granaries. There is still much to be done." she replied.
"It just makes you think how horrible and uneconomic war is." said DeGaulle overseeing the repairs.
"Yes, I don't think our nation will be doing much fighting anyway, the budget is very tight right now. A war effort should be the last thing on Parliament's mind, I know Western sentiment is going in that direction, but I advise the Union to stay out of any armed confrontations." she said looking towards the ground "I know, that isn't my department, but it'd be nice if we had more money for reconstruction, its one of our most important areas, if not the most important."
"Well the Union is very interested in perpetual peace, like you said yourself, things are not going in that direction though. Minister Wisniewski is working on a United Nations charter, but the building itself is far from completion." he said.
"The nation is in shambles sir, that is the only thing we can know for sure. Trade is another concern, as is technology, I understand your job must be very tough." she stated.
"Yes it is Adriana, have you heared anything new from Berlin? Any political goings on, I've been away on a short vacation in Sicily, I needed to get my mind off of things." he lied.
"Well, Churchill is attempting to win more seats for the Dove party, that's all I've heared. My mind has been occupied with other things." she replied, knowing full well that DeGaulle was attempting to illicit inside information, the fact was the Dove party was looking to retake Parliament and thus the Prime Ministry.
"It'll be interesting to see who the Doves field this time around." said DeGualle.
"Yes, it will..."

well, I'm around: don't live near there, no present connections: like most of America, just been following the coverage and hoping the death toll isn't as high as I thought it was going to be and hoping the friends I got stuck overseas in various parts of Europe will eventually get to make it home ok. I understand if don't want to play, though my personal leanings are more along the version expressed by Pro -- but yeah, ok I can see how y'all don't want to play at a diplomacy game under the bigger picture. I'm due for volunteer duty at Red Cross most of tomorrow anyhow so I just won't rush to be home (can't give blood, so I go down, do what I can).
sorry to hear you personally lost people, capo. if you're going into Marines, hope you get a definite target: though it's not like there's any lack of people over in certain parts of the world that hate us....which is even ok. They don't have to like us. But they can't come over here like a bunch of sneaky bastards and do stuff like this either and expect we'll just cry for awhile and then do nothing. I think we are seriously underestimated by some, maybe even our own fault that's so because we didn't really finish the job with Saddam: I bet if Iraq were a smoking hole in the ground it would've been different. so now, looks like it's time to call the roll and pick a side
can't even seem to work up a post...I had another one started but it just doesn't seem all that important right now and can't seem to make myself think on it so..maybe next week.
I'll be lurking around first of the week to see what's what.

"Do you think they suspect what is going on?" asked the man dressed in black
"Never, they are too stupid to realise", responded his accomplice.
"It never ceases to amze me how easily we have accomplished all this"
"Ha as I said they are fools, if they were smart they would easily stop us, or they at least would have tried, now its too late."
"Yes my friend , soon all will be finished, many years of planning have gone into this, nothing can stop us now!"
"Well almost nothing my friend, we still need Group C to report in, I havent heard from then in 2 weeks now. Once we get that report it is all over." he smiled

"Those damn politicians back in Israel think they know everything. How can they know what is good for us way over here in the Americas. We need our own rulers, we need to overthrow those despots and move away from the direction they wish to take us."
"Yes but how, they maintain their rule by military force, they suppress all opposition"
"The Rebels in Northern America are growing stronger each day, we see more and more attacks not only in WAAR provinces but also in Chinese and Mali states. If this continues we will soon be in a position to form our own United States. Those oppressors from the old world wil not keep us down for ever."
"Ahh you are young, I have been around much longer, and seen many uprisings , all have failed"
"Old man , not this time, we have a leader who will bring us all together"
"A leader? Who is he?"
"Not a he , SHE!!"

Written by Francis Scott Key, an American prisoner aboard a British prison ship during the war of 1812...
Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say, does that Star-Spangled Banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore, dimly seen thro' the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream;
'Tis the Star-Spangled Banner, O long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wiped out their foul footstep's pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Oh, thus be it ever when free men shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation!
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserved us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto, "In God is our trust"
And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

The cold fall breeze shook the trees, which seemed to whisper just beyond the understanding of Gustav as he slowly trecked through the woods. It had been four days, he knew he was close...
"Mmm, that was perfect Mina." said Prime Minister DeGaulle, lying back in bed with a big smile on his face, his hands locked behind his head, staring at the ceiling.
"Its no problem Charlie" the woman said, gently running her fingernails accross his hairy chest, she had been employed by the Communist party for five years, thus far doing nothing more than serving as DeGaulle's plaything. Finally after the death of Pagniacci her services would pay off. He was, after all, now the Prime Minister.
DeGaulle slowly arose from the bed, kissing her on the forehead "I have a meeting with the Joint Chiefs in around an hour, besides Adriana should be here within the hour." he said, as he searched for his pants.
"Who's Adriana?" she asked, knowing full well who she was. However her stupidity ploy never seemed to fail against the arrogant Charles.
"Aww, don't worry, you're the only woman I love." he said, moving her hair from her face "She's the Secretary of the Interior, you should keep up on politics you know." he said, pulling up his pants...
Gustav finally saw the Stockholm skyline and dropped to his knees, quickly pulling his backpack in front of him. He pulled out a lage binder of papers and quickly shuffled through them 'Where the hell is it?' he asked himself nervously...
"Hey Charlie." said the mistress as she wrapped her arms around his stomach "Let me go with you, I want to go. I'm so bored staying at these hotels."
"Believe me, you'll be far more bored at this meeting, you'd have to wait in the lobby it would be horrible. Why don't you go catch a show, or go shopping?"
"Ugh" she said, letting go and jokingly pushing him in his back "Typical male attitude, yes Charlie, all we do is shop and see plays." she pouted.
"I'm sorry, if it means that much to you, you can come. Its not like I'm worried about being seen with you, you work for me. It wouldn't be conspicuous at all." he said, turning towards her...
'Got it!' he said as he pulled the papers from his binder, he had little time as he glanced at the address and placed it back in, he quickly put his backpack on and tredged forward towards the rail-lines...
The Lobby of the Capital building in Stockholm was filled with members of the press, all attempting to get an interview or even a statement from the Prime Minister, who had been more than elusive to their microphones in the past few months. Charles DeGaulle and his Foreign Minister Tomajc Wisniewski walked into the building with their entourage, and protection agents. Cameras shot off and press members rushed the Prime Minister attempting to get a word about the recent rumors of a Western Coalition, the latest from Berlin were plans to establish a United Nations building in Amsterdam. "Mr. DeGaulle, what prompted the revival of the United Nations project?" asked one reporter.
"Please, save all questions for the press conference, this is a very important meeting and I don't have time to discuss any other matters." he replied...
Gustav approached the building, it was an old firehouse, now abandoned. Although he knew full well there were people inside, he placed his hand in his pocket and felt for his gun, it was there. He glanced around, the streets were unusually empty, probably due to the big meeting down the street. He pulled out the keys and opened the door slowly, taking his boots off before he entered.
He methodically glanced around; the building was filled with cobwebs and dust. There were random boards, empty beer bottles and cans, needles, pornographic magazines, and condoms. The denizens of Stockholm took great care of their abandoned buildings, aparently. He slowly crouched behind the stairwell and pulled out his listening device, very quietly he placed it up against the ceiling: "Alright, are the travel arangements in order?" said one man in Russian.
"Yes sir, everything has been accounted for. So far so good." said another Russian voice.
"Where is Igor, he should have been here by now?" asked the first man.
"He's going to run a little late, he's only five minutes late, its not a big deal, he's got fifteen before we need him anyway."
"I hope he wasn't arrested."
"We would have heared about it, don't worry, everything is going to go perfectly..."
All of the Joint Cheifs and their staff sat in on a huge circular room, normally the meeting place of the Swedish Senate. Francisco Franco entered with his staff, he was Chief Admiral of the European Navy, which was nearly non-existant save a few fleets in the northern Atlantic. He was to oversee the meeting, he knocked his gavel four times on the table and said "I know call this meeting of the Joint Staffs into order, we have in our presence Prime Minister Charles DeGaulle and his staff as well as representatives from the Eurokorps department. The issue we wll discuss today is...."
