	Patches for MoO2? Get a bigger avatar today!

where might i find a patch for this great game...? or better yet, a cd key so i don't have to be troubled to put that blasted thing in?

I would have hoped in the past they had made a patch for a more realistic spying options ( to be suddenly at war against a 200-turns friendly and allied race because of a single framing, it's frustrating to say the least). Have to wait for MOO3 I guess.

As for the CD, well, it's like Sid Meiers's SMAC(x). At least we are lucky the game can be perfectly playable on recent computer platforms.

The patch is tricky to find... I used to have it, but geocities seems to of decided to wipe my account.

As for geting past the CD, just copy all of the contents of the CD into the directory you installed the game, and it will run everything straight off the HD, be sure to patch after you do this. (if you find the patch)

Check the abandonware sites for MoO 2 patch v1.3.1. I have it, but since it's 3+MB in size I can't post it here. Even if I can Markos won't be amused

You can get the 1.3.1 patch here

It’s a little slow but it should work and if it doesn’t just search on altavista or some other place, it’s easy to find.


I just found another one here and the connection is faster (at least for me)

I prefer to play with my version, 1.2.
It has Creative at only 6 race pics!
Instead of the 8 race pics in version 1.3+.

I never needed a CD key and I still have my CD for MOO2, and all the patches. I didn't think anyone needed a CD Key

What a coincidence. I was looking for this patch yesterday when a friend and I were going to play a lan-based MOO2 game. I loaned my patch CD to another friend, and he didn't have MOO installed on his new computers. Too bad we didn't look here first, since we had no luck in our various internet searches! Thanks for posting the patch, 7EA!

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make MOO2 more stable in a lan/hub environment?

Just noticed this other bug here they never fixed. Feudal is described as having its populations instantly assimilated by conquering races, which it most certainly does not.

do any of you guys know where i can find a patch for moo2 and windows 2k? it runs fine, except that my mouse, new microsoft optical trackball, doesn't really want to work when i play. any help would be great. thanks.

If that only happens in MOO 2, then it might be because MOO 2 doesn't recognize that "advanced piece of technology" that you have for mouse.

you know i thought it was going to be that, but i plugged in my old track ball (which will celbrate it's 8th birthday in febuary) and even that didn't work. and i downloaded the 1.3.1 patch, but it doesn't seem to want to work either...so maybe i just have to wait for MOO3.
