I would like this game to begin ASAP. How about someone set it up (I can do this in 36 hours, gotta go soon).

How about Librarian, Few worms, map of gaia (normal size), standard rules, tech reserach plannable.

The map of gaia is not really existent...it can be decribed as a quite fertile version of a random map. i.e. wet, rocky, as little fungus as possible.
We can also take the apolyton tournament map which is nice and supposedly fair...see some of the games we started before and the multiplayer section here on apolyton.

My faction preferences are Hive, Gaia, Pirates... should do.

well, i resent rue turn 1. However, i am currently suffering OS-X/SMAX problems, so any files i send might be corrupted. I hope that that is not the case, but if it is, i expect to be able to resolve it in the near future...

Here's what it is. As of right now, my computer will not recognize discs. What i will do is install SMAZ on another, slower computer, and transfer files via the two using zip discs. This is a considerable effort, so until i can get my current computer working, i apologice in advance for slow returns.

I suppose the problems are because everyone who has been playing SMAX for a while by email now (in this forum) has updated to the newest version of SMAX which has a different save file format....

It IS as I suspected. I can open the file when I load it from SMAx 1.2, but not the updated 1.2.1!
