Not that i want to stick up for anyone who calls himself Saddam or anything, but i think that Solver has been a little harsh when it comes to Apolytoners' posts. The only "crime" i see is the overabundant use of smileys So please feel free to rate his performance using the above list of silly options and cheap shots

btw.. Solver isn't our apolyton dictator, MarkG is, Solver is just one of his minions. Anyway I think he is doing a fine job and should close more of your threads.

What has the guy done to deserve to be threatened with being banned?

Certainly, it was a post to a Thread that was, under the letter of the law, 'Off-Topic' but why then was Lung not cautioned for Posting it in the first place?

This really is way over the top for someone just expressing their point of view.

As for Jon's comments, i couldn't agree more! If anyone should be banned, it should be me After all, i use smileys at least as much as Saddam, although it is fair to say that i have been warned on one occasion.

It is worth noting that Apolyton is most well-mannered set of forums i have ever seen on the web. I could show a number of forums elsewhere where the flaming is so bad, that they have had to move the forum itself, and put in security to stop the obsceneties. We are indeed fortunate to have such a large number of well-mannered individuals here at Apolyton Myself excluded, of course

Okay, for smiley is just a question a balance.

No problems with Solver, he is doing a good and sadly necessary job.
It's quite rare a so much involved forum administrator.

He is our last protection against Saddam evil smileys.
