Frequently Asked QuestionsHow do I become rated? Simply post, to this thread, the highest level of victory that you ever attained, (Chieftain, Warlord, Prince, King, Emperor, or Deity), in a "single player" game of Call to Power, along with the Nation and Territory that you presently reside. That's it! You'll see your name appear on the above list within a week.
How do the ratings change? See the below CTP Ratings Links section for an in depth discussion.
** It is not required to report a game until that game is finished. You may report the progress of the game on this thread if you wish, but it is not necessary. Also, try to keep your game names below 12 characters long. Thanks.

TENPL642_AM Report Legend:
NAT.TR - Nation and Territory of Primary Residence.

This rating changes by winning or losing to other rated players, while playing "rated" Internet games. See the CTP Multiplayer topic entitled "PBEM Ladders" (link above) for details on how this rating change is calculated.
------------------------------

4. No "unwelcomed" harassment of players is permitted during game play. Players who violate this rule will be ejected from the CTP Internet Ratings.
5. All disputes will be adjudicated by Quinns, (unless, of course, Quinns is participating in the game in dispute, in which case an alternate judge will be chosen before beginning the game).
----------------------------------

I just gave up in my game to Blackice.
He was far ahead from the start. It took me some time to find the land needed for my settlers but in the end my science went ahead a bit. I had three full monopolies by that time. However, Blackice had a far better Navy and tactics. I could not stop him from taking over several of my cities.
When I opened the map after the game I was quite surprised. Blackice had a bit more than one Island while I occupied more than 4. Although he had more goods at the start, I had a lot more in the end. Why did I loose? I understand that I was behind from the start, Blackice having a river and all that. But he did certainly make the most of this one Island.
Well done, Blackice. I liked the game a lot. Looking forward to our next game. Do not expect to win again. :-)
Congratulations,
Franses

Players : {Darth, Gavrushka}
Finishing Order: {Gavrushka, Darth}
Game Name: {Let them Nukes Fly...)
Description : { Darth found me early on, but decided to regroup, in a mad panic I sent ships everywhere looking for him, and found him a few turns after, and started pressing the attack - I did my best to blockade his ports and sent a few small fleets looking for anything that might escape the net, he built up massive defenses in his cities, so I brought in large reinforcements whilst I developed my science, and attacked with nukes, aircraft and then walked into one of his high prod cities at which point Darth conceded... It was an excellent game, and if I had not been able to contain Darths Subs, the result would not have been assured...}

CTP Internet Game result
Game { The Red Peril}
Players {Gavrushka, Franses}
Finishing order {Gavrushka, Franses}
Game Description { Franses was an elusive prey, he found me then diasppeared without trace for around 3000 years, all this time I searched and searched, until eventually I found the fringe of his civ, where much trade was afoot, I captured what I believe was a trade centre and set it up as my own trade centre, I got 5 modern advances ahead and had a superior navy that was difficult to challenge, and Franses conceded.... HOWEVER, we started another game straight after.... and the situation is totally reversed.... I am well and truly on the back foot in every element with him outsciencing, out producing me and with an extra 11 cities.... I am introuble........}

CTP Internet Game result
Game {Equality}
Players {Franses, Gavrushka}
Finishing order {Franses,Gavrushka}
Game Description { This was an exceptional game. We were amazingly equal on the PG for more than 100 turns. Never seen such an equality before. However my science was a little bit better and therefore I expected to win easily. Not so. Gavrushka outmanouevred me by attacking vigorously and I had a hard time defending my position.
We did not forbid Nukes and when I researched them the game was over in 3 turns. In fact this was a shame, not a worthy end to this magnificent game. Thanks Gavrushka. May we have more games like this and have fun with them longer since we will forbid Nukes from now on}

I very much like to play PBEM games but I am also very happy I started playing Internet games. Since it is so much faster a game is ended in two to five sessions. This is great. Feel free to join us. You will not regret it.

No, I think what actually happens is it is like other players skip a turn.... The whole scenario was based around trying to convert a PBEM to and from internet play...it failed, Sadly Saddam, I think we were aware u could do this, but unfortunately it needs to go a step further before it is of any use..
Franses our game was the most enjoyable I had ever played - Normally a game takes shape, one side takes advantage, and the game is over - In this it swung back and forth, but you were an exceptional opponent, and I was beaten by a better player!

Hi BerXpert
Sorry I missed you last night.
I find that people from apolyton play fair, but so many others seem to cheat (GL). I don't know all the cheats, but it really spoils the game, 'cos they know before they start that unless their opponent knows the cheats they will win. After a time they start gloating, without giving clues as to how they amassed 2or3x cities loads of trade routes and mills in every city. Sorry for ranting and raving but these people piss me off. This game is not fun.

I'd like to be a rated player please. The highest level I've ever won a single player game at is emperor.
Also, does anyone want a game? I live in Britain but am fairly flexible over times.
