These were two, (not so distinct) tribes... However there WAS a difference

The White Huns invaded India... Whereas the Black Huns (led by Attila) invaded Europe

Huns: Led by Rugila. Conquered the Goths. Tribe split after his death.
Black Huns: Led by Attila, Rugila's son. General: Edikon, father of Odoacer (Ostro Goth chieftain who deposed the last Roman Emporer). Went west from the Black Sea. Invaded the West-Roman and Byzantine Empires.
White Huns: Led by Bleda, Rugila's brother. Went south from the Black Sea. Conquered the Parthians/Persians.
