We say goodbye to three countries in one season, France, Italy and Austria-Hungary. A special thanks to Du Chateau for finishing out his country even though he got gang raped by Germany and England. Russia is all but gone and his country will go into civil unrest so we can continue the game on a timely basis from here on out.

Russia must be picked up an dplayed by a player. It is still in the position to make a difference. Making Russia neutral is the same as giving it away to Germany to which I strongly oppose.

I would also request to color the lands previously belonging to Italy and France in Neutral grey, like finland, since it's confusing to have colors of nations gone by.

When the builds get to me and I put up the winter adjustments, I will color previous county ownership light grey.

However, the civil unrest is at my descretion, I will put up a request for a Russian player, but if nobody takes it by the next due date, which I will post at the time of adjustments, the country goes into civil unrest, I am not needlessly delaying this game any longer.

Siro, maybe you and I are looking at different maps but it seems to me that civil unrest would benefit Turkey, who is going to get Rum, Germany sure isn't close enough for that and you can have units around Vienna in a hurry, just trying to figure out why you think it favors Germany.

Defiant, My advice as defacto tournament director is to seek a replacement to play out the mercy position, but if no interest can be found quickly, do exactly as you have stated: place Russia in civil disorder regardless of which nation benefits from this. There is precedent for this in both PBEM and FTF protocol and rules. While it will undoubtably suck for someone, part of the game strategy is to so demoralize your opponent with your attacks so that he quits. Quits playing or quits trying becomes irrelavent.

I thought it's a fancy name for troops that the GM makes act randomly attacking everyone in the vincinity with no special order.
